I don't have time right now, but later on I will come back and give you directions to a hidey hole right in Hayward.

 

Well bear in mind my little hidey hole in Hayward was from many years ago when I was at Swift still. Just looking at google maps and it looks like it may not be there anymore in other words a company moved onto the property looks like. The exit in Hayward is Whipple Ave going west you will see some truck companies up in there may possibly be able to park off on the side of one of their lots.

An alternative might be to go north on I880 to Marina Blvd exit and work you way over to the GP customer Swift serves, don't park in there, but go right next door to the big warehouses with trucks coming and going, you can probably park back in there I can't imagine anyone would bother you, they'd think you were delivering or something.

Down the street from there is a Caterpillar dealer, they have a parking area for their flatbeds and an unloading area that is a sunken dock deal so the flatbed backs down into the hole and they drive the equipment right onto the ground. I imagine on a Sunday no one again would bother you there and it is walking distance to Jack in the Box and Taco Bell.

Further up the road in San Leandro Swift had some other customers which I tried to get into early and they made me go park on the side streets, again plenty of trucks were parked all over the streets no one bothered them .
