I don't think so.
The woman at claims told me to press the blue button for 10 seconds to send an alert, or maybe any stored video.
But the camera turns off while off duty now, so there may not have been time to capture anything.
If it was recording out the front it might have. But I have not heard anything yet.
The motion should have been severe enough to set it off though. -
@Moosetek13 do you not have your own dashcam as well I thought?
-
That just sucks. Hate these dishonest drivers
-
I used to have my own dashcam, a Cobra.
It stopped working after a few months and I never replaced it.
I hate those drivers as well.
But I'm sure he/she was thinking of being fired for yet one more backing accident.
One of these days he/she will be caught.
And it was all so unnecessary.
There were 2 open spots next to the spot where that driver was trying to get in to. Both in reserved parking.
Plenty of room on all sides and in front, should the driver choose to use it.
I guess G.O.A.L never crossed that drivers' mind. -
Moose...the problem these hit and run drivers dont realize is who is watching. There are alot of cameras these days. Also drivers looming out their window.
I had stopped at a t/a in oregon for a 34 reset. Realized bristol nite race was in so got a motel room next door. While i was checking someone scraped trailer and ran. Lucky for me a driver got truck number and company name before he ran. Never heard if they ever caugbt him. -
That sucks ...

The worst part is having to lose this truck.
I had a ProStar once before that was nothing but problems, but this truck has been rock solid for the past 5 months. I really hate to lose it.
This trip is fraught with issues.
When I pulled in to a rest stop I smelled the brake smell. I checked around and found one axle was a bit too warm and called on-road. The brakes were dragging.
That took about 2.5 hours to get resolved.
But that was a trailer issue, not a truck issue.
It put me behind a bit more, but I'll still be able to deliver tomorrow if nothing else happens.
I really hope I can, because this is the only load I've had for this weeks pay period.
2300 miles, so it will be a decent week - unless something else happens along the way. -
Hopefully you can get a good truck for all your trouble. My student got one of those prostars, first time I'd ever been in one (looked it over with him.), I can see the appeal. He'll be turning it in for a flatbed truck when he gets to Phoenix.
Yet again I have been called upon to be the designated snowplow. Meanwhile the rest of the division is stuck in Texas turning down dry loads. I escaped and I'm slip sliding my way around the I90 I80 corridors. In Hermiston getting loaded, destination SLC.
I get it, I hate vans too, but still it's a load, it pays, your getting payed more than most van drivers to do it, so shut up and make the division some freaking money till we make more sales and get those generator contracts. (Fyi, according to Brett the VP of the Flatbed Division, we will be moving generators out of Laredo next year.) -
I got here to Columbus only to be turned away. They don't deal with body work.
There are only 3 terminals that do, from what he said... Memphis, Greer and Romulus.
In the mean time I was sent my home time load.
So I will get to my home time on the date requested, then I will try to get to one of those terminals to either get the work done or swap trucks.
I doubt any of them have the parts on hand.
I had never heard of Romulus, but it is in Michigan.
That is the closest to my home time in MN, but is it the best for a different truck?
