Anybody know what the freight map looks like this weekend? Currently in Northern Oklahoma (Nowata, Oklahoma to be exact). Trying to get home for hometime in Texas. On top of a whole host of other issues, hometime is something that apparently either Swift or my DM / Planners just can't figure out. Was supposed to be home on Wednesday. I'm always about a week late or early getting home for hometime, and I put my requests in 4 weeks in advance with multiple reminders. Missed a doctors appointment this time which will be the 3rd time I'll have to reschedule it.
Rant off. Bubble map info greatly appreciated.

A savvy driver can pick up an extra $10k a year by doing the splits every night..... lol

Put it in about 2 weeks in advance and then say no more about it.
When you are 2-3 days from your requested date (depending on your location and how long it will take to get there, of course) start turning down any load that doesn't get you closer to home.
Use the reason - "Home Time Request". It is an acceptable reason for turning down a load, and you won't get in trouble for using it.
You would be surprised how they can suddenly get you home if you are turning down everything else.
If you let them walk on you, they will. But if you put your foot down things will get done.ronvicki6653 and Ryan423 Thank this. -
Money isn't everything, at least not to me.
Oh, are you talking about a part time ballerina or pole dancer?
Well, then, that might be something I could do.fr8monkey and scottied67 Thank this. -
Hello every one. Been some time and from my profile photo here you can see that I moved on. After over 5 months of the RoadRunner bs, just had to leave. So I filed one of those internet apps and this company called me. Talked to them for some time and their drivers and I have to say that very happy. They are not stingy when it comes to miles and money and paying the drivers. In 2 weeks I took 2 containers from St Jo to Oakland knowing that I do not have TWIC card yet so they just had another driver take it from me and take it in and bring me out a empty. Then on the next morning, get told to head back on the southern route back to St Jo. Pay loaded and empty is the same. Well I have to say, in 1 month, I have made more than I did at RR in 3 months

Mt. Pleasant, IA at the Pilot.
I delivered last evening at the Walmart DC and my next load doesn't pick up until 0830 tomorrow morning.
But it's a good load, going to Eugene, OR and nearly 2k miles so I didn't dare turn it down.
So I have the day off. -
Syracuse, NE at the Love's.
1640 miles to go by the 19th, but I'm not sure what time yet. There was no delivery time in the load assignment.
I put 0800 in my loaded call to give them a hint as to when I wanted to deliver, but who knows.
It seems like it will be a very hot summer this year if today's temps are any indication.
Mid May and it hit over 90 here. -
Laredo on saftey hold. Apparently they never got my physical that I faxed in. Oh well, should be cleared up shortly.
Hoping to get off VANcation once they get it. -
And after saying that I head into snow storms going through WY and UT into ID.
Strange weather today, but the roads were fine.
I'm in Twin Falls, ID tonight. A nice day except for a few times with near blizzard conditions.
A day later and I probably would have had to shut down.
