Yes but it is On Duty and helps prevent the driver from logging a Driving event when they are out of legal hours. Currently we can creep around Off Duty or even Sleeper out of hours and finesse it such that it does not trip over to Drive time. No more after December 17 2019

I only care about being able to move around a shipper/receiver without being on the drive line. That could really mess up the hours.

    Another topic from that...
Does anyone know why company drivers in CA, OR and WA (residents and/or terminal assignment) can not do the per diem on the paycheck?

You're certainly the harbinger of hyperbole …

I'm on full ELD at my current company … Some minor inconveniences, but nothing that has really impacted the way I run.

I think it has to do with minimum wage law, since per diem is non-taxable reimbursement. Time to switch your terminal?

    Moosetek13 Thanks this.

It might be, and for more than that reason.
I would hate to lose my DM, though. Any of my DM's, as they are very good to me. I really like Otay Mesa.

Living near the Inver Grove terminal means that I could probably transfer there without a problem. I just don't want to have to break in a new DM.

    Tolmie Thanks this.

I hate shutting down in rest areas.
    No coffee in the morning.

Ontario or at loves waiting to get an Oregon permit faxed over. Asked for o e last week and said to wait to I get a load there. Got one on a weekend and they closed.
Anyways... sat at receiver in Boise id yesterday from 0800 till 13200. Had a 9 am appt. Receiver said he had to load his 2 box trucks first. Said ok I am early. Finally got a dock at 1000.
After 2 hrs waiting as they unload me... went and see how much longer and he said they were separating the boxes for their routes for tomorrow as they unloaded the pallets of furniture.
Had another pick up at 1400 in vale or. Which I thought I was gonna be late since it 86 miles away. Lucky for me they are on Pacific time which gave me another hour. Had to be there by 1430 according to get. I had sent a Mac 22 thinking I was gonna be late since pre plan said vale was on mountain time.
They said I was the only available truck nearby so I could pick it up this morning if the were closed. Which they were not thankfully.
Going to Stockton ca for a 1030 appt on the 29th. Plenty of time to get there. Hopefully I can get close tonite. 606 miles
