Shutdown most of the day at the Loves in Waller, Texas. Ready to get this run done in Houston tomorrow. I hate going to Houston, but I'll deal with it.

Williams az at the loves.
Had it all today.
Sunshine when on left Holbrook this morning.
T Called that load at the Albuquerque terminal and got an mt trailer there drove to prewitt nm to get this load. Wi d behaved while I was going there.
But not when I left.
25 to 35 mph with an occasional 40 mph gust. Glad I had 44 thousand in the box.
Wins pretty much died down when it started raining west of Winslow as.
Snowed pretty good going thru flagstaff and returned to rain till I got here.
433 miles to final for tues afternoon appt.
Gonna be an easy 2 days
Call my dm in the morning and see if I can tcall it tomorrow at jv terminal.
Btw... put in 600 miles today. -
It is total BS to agree to a load and then try to pawn it off on someone else because you don't like the delivery time.
Just do your load as you agreed to.
Any honorable person would. -
I will trade this load for another local run so I can keep on running. Most likely will have to deliver this load.kakk86 Thanks this. -
It makes sense if there is too much time on the load, to drop it at a terminal and run keep running efficiently rather than park idle for an extra day for no reason.
dptrucker Thanks this. -
Sorry DP. My apologies.
dptrucker Thanks this. -

No local to trade load for. Fleet manager said to come back In the morning.
Think I am just gonna deliver this load since now I have to get truck a and b serviced. Have about 400 miles left b3 shop puts truck on hold.
Go in and talk to my dm and sees if there's anything I can do early. Doesn't look too promising now lol. -

Or maybe trying to offload it when I have agreed to do it just rubs me the wrong way.
I also hate getting those short local runs that take a lot of time and make me no money.
Many of you have complained about the exact same thing, and many times it is because a driver felt their time was more important than yours.
I won't go the route of 'they do it, so I will to'. If I agree to a load I will complete that load as scheduled.
Sometimes I will call before I accept it to inquire about a t-call, but that is as far as I will go. Otherwise I will just reject the load for too much time.
And that is one nice thing about Swift. We can reject a load with mac 9. It will be removed and another sent in its place. Simple.
So if you do not like the times... reject it up front.Speed_Drums Thanks this.
