Good night from...

Still here in south TX Pharr/Edinburg. Stop engine light came on midnight last night so had to put 'er in the shop to clear the DPF. Abby and I got to hang out in the driver's lounge watching TV all day. There is a little window in the TV room where you can look down on the shop and see them working on the trucks. Showers and laundry available for free there too at Rush Truck Centers.

Rawlins, WY. Battled high wind all day, good old Wyoming.

 

Montrose, CO. Planned on being in Grand Junction tonight, but after 4 hours getting ldd, then the 2 lane mountain roads, said the heck with it. 77 mi mt, 211 ldd, then another 70 miles mt with 181 ldd to Denver then on to VA for Sunday night.

what a slow week. this was the first day since last thursday i've done more than 400 miles. i was in joliet, then morris, il. got a decent load from there to kansas city, and now i am spending the night in edwardsville term. i got a preplan for 157 miles, live at both ends, and heavy. first one i've ever turned down. am i being tested?

 

Rest stop just south of Rolla in MO on the 44. Heading to OK, deliver tomorrow night, Hoping for a load out of Pryor that can get me home, so I can put the truck in the dealer and get the A/C fixed.

 

mine was a little like, can you pls help us out. now will wait to see if they remember. going to hope for something Monday that has about 700 miles for Wed. then can salvage this week.

 

Wendover, NV had the seafood buffet at the peppermill, oh god so full. Oh good lawdy!
