Good night from...

Well not in Lancaster anymore, at home, out of the shop in a different truck. The pulled the Bluebonn take this truck or lose your breakdown pay deal. Only difference was this apears right now to be an upgrade, time will tell. Went from an 07 Volvo with 508000 to an 08 with 388000 miles on it and all the parts were intact, truck was spotlessly clean, and has the new Quallcomm in it. It looked like repairs on the old one wouldn't get done until Monday which means Tuesday in Lancaster speak. So I took the newer truck with a preplan for Monday morning pickup, and headed home to use the weekend to outfit the new ride. Pick up is 20 miles from here so home was on the way.

I spent the night in....where else...Walmart. Salem, OR.

 

T-called a load last night here in Gary, IN. It's headed to brampton, ON. Wish I could've taken it. Would've be a nice run. Stuck here at the Gary terminal waiting for a preplan.

 

Walcott, IA, enrte to KC, then pu another ldd trailer and then on to Houston. This morning sent a pplan that showed a pu of 2300 at same place that delivered this morning at 1200 and then all night drive. Then sent a offering to DH to KC and pu going to Houston. Fired back a msg, asked if that first pplan was still avail, and if so, and if they stack me up with the Houston one, then I would commit. 15 mins later, receive both of them, and found out that the first one, already loaded and waiting. So all in all, it worked out great, and now if the normal happens in Houston, will get a short one for Wednesday morning, and finish the week with 3300 miles, 3rd one in a row. Then time to head home. Have to get ready to head for China the end of October.
