Thanks Injun. I did not think that I was actually on a Wal-Mart Dedicated since I never signed any contract. Thought that I was just a so called fill in, that just happens to be there. Now just trying to get back there. Then as far as ranking and Mac 30, I really will not care. As far as my PHX DM is concerned, I am still OTR, flt 591, whatever that is. Yesterday the planner was even asking me what that fleet was, and I did not know.

 

Just south of Fayettesville Ar at a dusty 66 with a McDonalds. I know what I am having for breakfast!

 

Joplin 44 Petro. Raced my elog to make it here from Rockford,IL after mt hunting this morning. I won, 623 miles, 0:23 left on the clock. Off to Okie City for 1500 drop at a Lowes tomorrow.

Well, I've had an interesting week. Finished a load in Portland OR then went and spent the night with my folks in southern WA. Then I took my Wallyworld trailer to the Target DC to swap (that was fun) and took the Target load up to Bozeman and turned and burned back to the same DC from the same store I delivered to (on the way back is when I saw Injun's truck). Dropped that load off then spent my 34 with the folks again. Picked up last night in Portland one of several Disney on Ice dedicated trailers and brought it north of Seattle. Gonna take a nap here and mosey on over to the Tualip casino.

 

That wasn't my truck. I was in Eastern Idaho on my way back from Montana when you posted that. There are two other burnt orange Prostars running out of this DC.

 

Saw about a dozen Swift trailers being pulled by UPS tractors on the way into Atlanta today....

So when did UPS buy you guys, and will Injun mind painting her burnt orange Pornstar a really ugly brown?

 

They are leasing trailers from Swift so they can handle the increased Christmas volume. They do this every year. It's cheaper for UPS to lease trailers from other carriers for their busy season than it is to purchase, license and maintain their own trailers.

Only problem is, it's one of our busier seasons as well and taking those trailers out of the available fleet makes it a pain to get an empty in many places. Glad I'm hauling Wally Wagons now.
