I deliver near Salt Lake on the 3rd as well, but I'm glad of the extra time.

I have been fighting high winds all the way, so far, and I'll bet that once I get up on 80 through WY it will be just as bad.

The extra time lets me adjust my drive times to allow for it.

I've only got 14k in the box, and I hate the feeling that I am going to tip over with every gust of wind.

Taking this load nice and easy.

Be careful of those Prime recruiters in SPRIMO.

I stayed the weekend with Simon in Portland. Will be headed home soon. New Steer tires due, it looks like. :biggrin_25510: Doesn't seem like that long ago I put these ones on.

Finally got out of SLC and going to the Big D, and I do mean Dallas.

Trailer I picked up in terminal t-call, had two very bad flat spotted tires with the steel belts showing. Of course the shop closed early so had to take it to a truck stop to get 2 new tires. The driver who t-called it at the terminal may not have done the damage but should be called on for not noticing these tires. I wonder if Swift will bother to go back and find the last hard braking event this trailer went thru and punish that driver....

May not have been one of our drivers. I've watched yard jockeys drag trailers all the way across DC parking lots. They don't give a crap. It's not their equipment.

Kind of echoing what Injun just posted... on a thread elsewhere on this forum, a driver openly admitted that forklift drivers for his company would purposely do harm to trailers of their subcontractors, I would imagine their yard drivers would do the same.
