One of you guys in Fontana should see whether Ramon still works in the office. He goes by "Bear" but I don't know whether the office calls him that. He's a friend of mine.

Still in Otay Mesa Pilot. We got here 0900 0113 and checked for available loads and there were none. I had heard some guys had been sitting since the 10th over at Fontana so we resigned ourselves to a 34 and settled in and took a nice nap. At 1300 got a load offer that picked up at 1300 in downtown San Diego and delivered 300+ miles away by 0800 but my 14 hour clock was going to end in a few hours and would need either to split break or 10 hours off.

OK Swift planners, that is fine and dandy but give me some more heads up than that! That would be a good load if I had seen it on the load offerings at 0900.

So I kept sending macro 30 every hour on the hour, no loads. Went back to bed and QC powered down. Got up later and saw another preplan that arrived at 1700 that picked up at 1700. Can't they send these loads in a more timely manner? How bout when someone sends in mac 30? Or is that just a waste of time, like they say the best loads never hit the load board (mac 30) lol.

So Abby and I got up about midnight and walked around the neighborhood for a couple hours chasing cottontails.

You're alright until you start chasing split tails. Then your wife might have something to say about it.

Here in PHX. Was asked to do a reposition, and with the understanding that when I got here, they would take care of me. well, should have stayed in Fontana. The fr8 was starting to come out. On my way, got a pplan, dh another 150 miles, and pu a ld going to El Paso, where the fr8 is worse. If still here on Monday, will be having a meeting, and requesting a new DM if I feel that after talking, she really is not looking out for my best interests.

Injun, I passed on your message to Ramon. He is off until Monday, but he is still there. He is in the container division

She wouldn't have anything to say about it. Legally separated for almost 7 months now. Doesn't matter, I'm not in that state of mind or heart right now (chasing splittails lol).

Do they pay for the reposition? If so, how does one score that? I'm trying to get home by Tuesday (Lathrop), maybe they could reposition me there.

Got a message earlier from DM about needing to get routed to Elog installation, I called and told her I already have it. I also asked why the planners don't see my available hours before sending me loads I cannot do. She said they are still on the 'old' system, that they'd have to take the extra step to get on the internet HOS site to see our hours. What happened was, on Friday afternoon SoCal, they were just blasting loads out to empty trucks in a big hurry that had just been booked last minute. That's why I got 2 load offers that were sent at 1300 and 1700 pick up at the same times respectively. I couldn't do either one on time. So it's a holiday weekend, slim pickin's my DM says I am allowed to deadhead home-- oh really?

Allowed to deadhead home 450 miles on your own dime. Mighty magnanimous of them.

Sorry to hear about the family difficulties. Really bites to go through that kind of stuff.

heck, the other day when I deadheaded from Commerce City to fontanta, 48 miles, they called it unauthorized DH.

Yes, they paid for the reposition, mt mile rate. They sent the load info, pu PHX, del PHX. I am moving their trailer for them, and empty mile rate. Mighty generous of them.
