Like Scottied mentioned, a permit is needed for Hwy 95, so I took Hwy 93. Beautiful ride. So nice, I stopped to take some pics. Looks like this:

Why in the world would you not be carrying chains in the winter?

No studio sleeper here just an aerodyne. But as a company driver I consider myself fortunate to be in a 2010 KW.scottied67 Thanks this.

Me?
Still in Cheyenne, waiting for the winds to die down a bit.
Just need to get to Salt Lake, but I won't drive through 70-80 mph crosswinds to get there.
Guess I'm just a softy.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Mortons travel center, las vegas
Just got back from my friends house and dinner, was nice.
heading to denver area, ikea load. Sent dm a msg today and asked for a vegas load, was sent this one going thru, not bad. 790'ish miles to go, load delivers 0500 on the 25th.
should be @ the denver terminal in 2 days. If anyones ther look me up..scottied67 Thanks this. -
Colfax, WA Went to shipper two hours early for a live load this morning... "sorry, trailer is preloaded and ready to go" WIN. Ask em about closest scale. "why it's only 25,000lbs?". Qualcomm said 42,000 double
Win. Clear dry roads with no snow, nice! Only down fall was the wind... Then DM let me take a 34 w/o counting as home time... Get to spend a day with the wife... And that's another for a hat trick. What an awesome day.fr8monkey, inkeper and scottied67 Thank this. -
Some of the terminals have piles of chains outside the shops for the grabbing. Saw a mountain of chains down in Memphis terminal, was considering grabbing a couple of extras for spares but it sure looked like a tangled mess, but beggars can't be choosers, maybe next time lol.
I'm not taking very long breaks to be able to say 'good night', going home, drive a few hours, stop, walk the dog, take a nap if needed and keep moving. Almost home now, no rush because no one can pick me up from the terminal til later in the afternoon anyway. -
Have not been to a terminal that have chains in some time. Normally do not travel to the NW or CO in the winter. Looking at purchasing some cables. Still legal, and alot lighter.scottied67 Thanks this.

Carl's Corner doing a split sleeper. No sense burning hours getting through DFW going home commute traffic. Sit for 2 hours and not lose any of my remaining drive time.
Anyone know how to override the idle shutdown on a '10 Prostar? Heading for Ohio, temp in 20s, windchill in teens by the time I get there. 84 here right now. Sweet! -
Yeah, that is a great hwy for scenery and small town western life,,,
