with the wife,
in the nice suite,
with a little diversion to the 'shower room with a tub...'
and a nice chicken dinner as desert.


Because, you can never count on a load across WY with lots of time.
You have to make that time.

 

With my DM, I will just put in for home time at that location, and ask for a load with lots of time on it. Want to try in the summer. The swimming pool looks great. Even if just able to get in on a Saturday early, and leave out Sunday, it would be worth it. And don't forget what iropony said, the breakfast buffet is do die for.

 

After four noisy freight trains in 45 minutes I moved 24 miles east to x39, Pilot.

 

I'm at home in Buckeye, AZ.

After being stuck at the Albuquerque terminal for about 26 hours I got I pre-plan picking up a pre-loaded trailer in Snowflake, AZ that doesn't deliver in San Diego til Sat @ 8:30 am.

Not going near the truck til about midnight Saturday morning.

I love living only 20 miles from the Phoenix terminal.

 

Some have all the luck.

I got to cut my home time from 3 days to 1 so I could try my luck getting this truck to Phoenix by Friday by way of Salt Lake.
It's a trade truck now, so all roads lead to Phoenix.

On the way to Salt Lake the truck decides to de-rate the engine, and I'm stuck at 35 MPH on I-80.

Now I'm at Days Inn, the load re-powered, and bobtail awaiting repairs.
No way to make the 'deadline' of tomorrow in Phoenix to trade my truck.

I knew this would happen.

I should have been left to my 3 days home time, found a load going to AZ and been done with this piece of sh! truck that has cost me so much.

Oh well, such is Life in the trucker city.

At the J ex 2 I75 GA ... taking a 24.

 

Went to the shipper this am dropped and hooked, guard comes out in his little golf cart and says the paperwork isn't ready, that I should just go to a truck stop and wait. Fine by me, easy detention pay. Got a message some time later that the delivery was moved to Tuesday morning (today is Friday) and this load is only 350 miles. Asked to be removed off this load, it's like taking an act of Congress to get off this dang load.

98 degrees here with high humidity. So went over and started up an account with Idle Aire. Got their A/C and mine going both at once lol it is like a walk in fridge inside the truck.

Bought 15 bootleg movies for $20 bucks, actually the guy lost count and gave me 17 movies, the only one I was interested in was Hunger Games which was pretty good , but the DVD is extremely low quality lol God Lord Jesus get me out of here before I watch 17 movies PLEASE!

 

Shooting to be down there by Sunday night. Monday AM drop, hope to have something getting me out of there before the day's out.

 

If they take me off this load, I know where you can go get it first thing Monday morning (hazmat) but it doesn't deliver til Tuesday morning in La Porte TX.
