WV on my way to GA ... Got out of NY just ahead of the storm, winter is doing an encore.

 

One of the reasons that I like Lewiston. No more 3 messages every day in the morning, no more being told to GOAL, and actually being able to call in and talk to a friendly person on the phone that actually helps and will joke around and work with me.

Heard the other day that Fontana might be going to that POD system very soon.

I am puzzled for a sec thought you were talking about working for somebody else? How do you get money to wash your rig? How do you get out of Goal and other messages, How do you escape from the clutches of the POD ??

That would be so cool to have Swift pay to have there own truck washed. I did try before but ran in to a wall, and basically laughed at when asked.

My wife and I went to a Thai wedding once. We were among a very small group of non-Thai people there. The food was-- interesting-- I thought those roasted pigs with the head,tail and legs still attached was something you only see on TV lol.

Waved to yuns as I went on by. Left San Antonio in the morning, shut down at the Pilot there on I20 for 8 hours then skedaddled up to somewhere about 4 hours north, shut it down for 2 more hours and finished my route up to Kansas City area, wow about 18 hours ahead of delivery time. Maybe they are finally relaxing Plus 1?
Speaking of early, I left that Pilot about 2300 or so, you should have seen that tired old trucker who came creeping in off the interstate desperately looking for a spot when I pulled out. about 25% of all the parking spots were taken up by bobtails.

I have heard of some company drivers shelling out over $100 a week of their own money to have the company truck washed.
What's frustrating to me is that every time I go into Lathrop to use the carwash, the detail dude is always blocking the entrance. I've asked/told him to move a couple of times, he refuses. Memphis has it set up just about perfect, you go through the carwash on your way to the out gate.

Presently in the good old Quality Inn in Goodyear. Truck in PHX. Told again today, 13 speed conversion, $500 out the door. Swift says that I have the conversion kit already installed, KW says no, without even looking at the truck.

Just got off the phone with Swift Rapid Response, transferred me to Shop, conversion, $300, but with IEL permission. Talked to IEL, unless attached to HH division or finally purchasing the truck, no permission. If finally purchasing the truck, I do not need your permission. This started the first of the year. Arrgh I think that this is just for the shop to do it. I am going to ask KW when I pick the truck up on Wednesday. See what they say.
