24 hours with no load offers. Big $50, but something is better than nothing.

 

Picked up my load in Salty Lick City and ran hard up against the 14 hour clock to get to West Wendover Nevada so's I could throw 'dem dice! Won a bunch of money then went to bed. Got up zero dark thirty, thirstin' for more dice action and went back into the casino and gave them their money back.
We were parked next to 3 heavy haulers in WW, don't know how many hours after we left than they did, but they blew my doors off around Fernley NV and beat me to the truck stop here in Sparks lol.
I have enough time to do a 34, but don't need it, going home after delivery Monday morning in Fresno, then bounce back north to Laythrowup. Abby and I will mosey on down the hill in the early morning and get to hang out at home all day before delivery yay.

 

scottie ... don't DH back to Lathrop ... ask them to get you a Kraft load out of Fresno that you can tcall in Lathrop.

Somewhere on the Ohio TP ... IL tomorrow for a predawn delivery on Monday.

 

l/o. we do not get short haul pay. when I have to start dh more than 10% with no FSC, it is not worth it. I was willing to pu the 2nd one which was 30 miles from where mt, then run it to Effingham.

 

Lathrop says they're overbooked so they're not accepting tcalls at this time.

 

Gary, IN. After waiting more than 3 hours for a mt trailer avail from CSR, had to have load removed from me. Could not make Columbus in time. JIT load. Not with needing to find a mt in Chicago, then still go inside Chicago and get the loaded one. The bad thing, the load was already pre loaded on another trailer. Oh well. What a mess here. Parked in the back of the shop. Only place to find a open BT spot. Trailers dropped all over the place, like a normal weekend.

 

The one time I've been to Gary, was a pita. I almost had to back out of the gate as there was no where to even turn around, let alone park. Then they gate person rudely told me I shouldn't even have come there in the first place...

 

Yes, this place can quite rude at times. Had a driver get po'd at me here the last time. I was taking too long in the fuel island, the only with DEF. He was even sitting on my steps when I came back out. Like he was there waiting a long time. Was having a problem with my fuel card. After he walked back to the truck, I asked the attendant how long he was waiting, and he told me about 3 minutes.

 

Hoping to make Columbus tonight. Load was to be ready by 1900 preloaded, still waiting...

 

Home in Buckeye, AZ after 26 days out. Went all 26 days without a reset, first time I've ever done that. My previous MO was to hammer it hard for 5 days then collapse and take a 34. Not sure if I'll try the "no-reset" route again, 26 days without a day off made Steve a crank towards the end.
