At a Love's on I-77, exit 83 in SC near Charlotte, NC. Got a pplan on the way to Lugoff, SC with the Target load for a Walmart DC (Concord, NC) to DC (Hopkinsville, MO), accepted it and when it was dispatched as I did my empty call, the times were an hour less pick-up and delivery. I didn't notice until I was filling out the load details in my notebook at the Walmart DC in Concord. As soon as I stopped here I sent mac22 with the original delivery time and "see preplan" in the explanation. It's a JIT load so it will be interesting to see if there's a response.

Had dinner at this diner called 'Jake Break' lol and let me tell ya, the food is a million times better here. Snagged a load right away on mac 30, 50mi deadhead and up to Wisconsin, 900miler, not bad. I mean the other loads were lighter, but going up to PA, uhh no thanks.

lol, got some fuel at Flying J in Spokane there, had to go in and activate the pumps because the card reader outside wasn't working. Guess what movie was sitting there on top of the DVD rack just staring at me begging me to buy it for just $5.99? Dudley Doright! Will be watching it sometime today because..... read below.....

    Calgary, Alberta Canada.

Got up into Canada no problems, delivered and picked up next load right away. Faxed required paperwork to the number they sent me, all of a sudden get back panic messages that I am not a Canada approved driver, not in the system etc. Wonderful, stuck up here now. This will probably be my last Canada load.
Some of the paperwork they gave me to read up on shows how the driver can be liable for fines up to $100,000 dollars for paperwork mistakes. Couple of those would put a guy out of business. Not sure the extra miles is worth the headache and massive amounts of stress this puts on me.

There were no truck stops coming up into the lower part of BC and AB. Lots and lots of pull over spots, but I am too spoiled to rough it like that anymore. I like my showers and sit down toilets lol. Squatting behind trees and bushes gets old. Found out I may be the only O/O running Canada, the guys I talked to were company drivers who live close to the border in most cases and sort of run like dedicated.

It is still winter up here, drove through a snow storm yesterday. The night before when I had finally found a park spot, walking Abby, we almost got struck by lightening (momentarily blinded), the thunder was so loud I thought the Earth would split open. Saw a herd of mountain goats and the rabbits up here at the Flying J are almost as big as Abby.

Buying stuff.. I swipe my ATM card and they make me sign the receipt every time. I asked if I could enter my PIN, the guy just looked at me like I was speaking English or something. Your dollars are worth a little bit more up here, 2 slices of pizza here is $7 bucks Canadian.
You buy fuel by the litre. Everything is metric. Max speed is 100KM per hour. Speeds drop from 100 to 80 to 50 in short distances so be careful, RCMP's are on patrol!

Always liked that Bosselman ... I think I've only been over that part of the 80 once in the last 8 months. Glad to hear it's working out for you with your wife.

Still at home, dealer found an issue with my DPF system, appears it;s been trying to do a regen about every hour, but I've only been seeing one once a day. Should be taken care of by Monday.

Effingham, IL @ petro. Just had the truck washed, rainX and scrubbed.. she was dirty.

Today was fun. I drove 50 miles down into Ecru, MS @ Ashly Furniture. Well I turn right onto the street to go in and there he was. Heartland was stuck, I mean his driver side drives were 1' in the air, his right side tandems were in a culvert/ditch.. wow.
so being the nice guy I am I tried to help him, no dice. Local sheriffs showed up, by now 6 trucks are backed up. I was just happy it wasn't a swifty, but after talking to the locals, yardgoat and sheriff, yup.. bout 5 swift driver a month do this.. nice.
Cops block traffic we all back onto highway and go the back way in.
I took pictures of the truck, but dunno how to post here off my phone, ill try later.

Dropped my mty, no paperwork there, rut rooh.. guy says ohh yer loads over @ Ripley 35 miles up the 15.. nice.. grrr Sent in a msg to my dm, asked for extra 35 mile dead head pay, resent me the load plan, total 95 miles of deadhead, sweet, 10xtra miles..
ohh the best part.. I got to Ashley, and did my arrival macro, hmm load has already E or Tcalled.. WTF..? Called my dm, oh yea they took that load off you lastnight and didn't send you the notice.. just as im about to snap like a crackhead monkey seeing a banana for the first time in years, he sends me a load from same shipper right away.. ooooh so lucky cause my crackhead monkey was bout ready to snap.. nice thing is, load is only 8400lbs. Making decent time running round 8.4mpg @ 65mpg w/ lil 68mpg boosts to pass.. not bad

Shower time, maybe food, as I don't eat out of these places anymore, tired of being sick @ 0300 afterwards.

P.s. I know this doesn't go in here, but were swift. I have a brand new RandMcNally 7" gps (trucker one) for sale.. PM if interested. New in box, never used.

Yeah, my DPF problem was always wanting to do a parked re-gen. Did not want to do one going down the road. It was a bad injector. Once in the shop, it was done in less than 2 hours.
