I got the Lugoff load from Suffolk, VA (where you and I picked up going to Amsterdam, NY) then a Home Depot back to Norfolk then ANOTHER load to Lugoff. When I asked the Memphis planner for west I got Dayton. New Jersey.
I'm near Lexington, VA at TA headed for NJ in the morning. My fuel stop is 38 miles from delivery and I'm going to hope for a spot when I get there. If not I have time to check a few other with the Jonestown, PA terminal as a fallback.

I think I've ran that load outta Bosie... It picks up at a small recycling place up on I-184 if memory serves me correct. I stayed there at Lil America couple days ago for first time. I liked the Lil food joint there. Much better than the chain stores.
I'm in Bosie City, OK... This Loves poped up about 6 miles before town on a road sighn. Good thing too cause making Ammerilo woulda been past my bed time. -
Stop at the Little America in Cheyenne WY. There's not a lot of parking, but the restaurant inside the motel is awesome. The Sunday brunch buffet is to die for. Its a great place to take a 34 at with the wife.
Lots of places to stop at between Boise City and Amarillo. The bigger towns (except Cactus) have truckstops, and most of the smaller ones have a lot of space at the grain elevator. At Cactus you get to put up with a lot of PO'd JBS drivers. The stretch between Lamar and Boise City is the long one without much around except at Springfield.scottied67 Thanks this. -
3 o/o trucks here, including myself, not one of us has moved. Other 2 guys have been here before me. I've been up since 0330 locl time, no load offers or mac 30.
dm said give it time and get plenty of rest.. hmm wonder what that ment.
Watching the cows up on the hill, ohh joy. -
Got back to the Unites States from Canada in fine shape. Someone with the authority to do something in the Swift offices messaged me a code number that would get me back across the border. I left about 2AM, man you should have seen all the elk, deer, mountain sheep etc wandering the roads.
;Did a mac 30 before I left, there was only 1 load, coming right back to Canada, but I didn't want to accept it just in case there was some problem at the border. I think I will try 1 more Canada load, everything went well except my passport somehow was not in the Swift system and I ended up taking a 36 hour (Canada requires 36) anyway. For my next trick I will be turning my truck down to 65 so that would open up Ontario loads as well.
Sporkane WAZukimart Thanks this. -
Fred's at the Denver terminal. Going to get that log class and LCQT taken care of. He fell in the shower this morning at the Love's (?) just down the road and messed his shoulder up when he tried to catch himself before he landed face down on the tile. He won't go to the doctor, but I don't see how it's going to be easy to drive when, every time he has to move it, he hollering in pain.

Whelp, I snagged a 980mi load here @ Ashley. It just sux that I cant p/u till 1000 tomorrow, which puts me 170mi short this week. Unless I haul some major butt and can deliver this by midnight wed. I think I can if all goes well. Good thing is it delivers to Syracuse terminal, not as a tcall but a delivery, so I know I can run a full 11 and have a place to park. Marathon run here I come!
By the time I roll out to p/u this load, 2 miles away, ill have done a 34..
Funny, too. I sent in a mac 30, and it came up, I was reading the info and boom they sent it to me as a PP 15 seconds later.Last edited: May 21, 2012

Wilma,
If he decides to tough it out, make sure you tell him to be careful with the acetominaphine, e.g., Tylenol. It will do fatal liver damage if the dosage is exceeded for a few days too long and the physical symptoms don't show up until a days after its too late. Ibupropen is okay.
I'm at the Pilot on I-78, exit 7 in Bloomsbury, NJ amazingly enough. This was my fuel stop and I had enough time to backtrack into PA to find another place to shut down if I had to. It's really small and tight here and, as I was fueling, the stack of trucks behind me moved into fuel lanes and there was an open space almost directly behind me. Parked in NJ at 4:30pm!
I got a pplan on the way to pick up at a Lowe's DC in Edison, NJ tomorrow 2 hours after my live unload delivery appointment and deliver in Plainfield, CT to a store for a live unload, 180 miles in 3.5 hours. This would of course include driving up the NJ Turnpike to pick up, getting back on the TP to get to the GW Bridge, drive through NYC and then some of the worst 24/7 traffic congestion in the country. I declined it with no ETA/PTA with the comment, "Is anyone really that stupid?". Load was removed a few minutes later.
Frankscottied67, Zukimart and bluebonn Thank this. -
