Cottage Grove, OR. What a fun time getting here. Unload 2 stops in the morning, and John in Sparks set me up with a pplan. Load of lumber outta Saginaw, OR, down to Del Mar, CA for Weds some time. This is going to be a very long drive, 44k, OR and CA. Then start to head home.

Did they not tell you at the time what the price was going to be?
As reported in an earlier post, I had blown a tire on the Klamath Falls scale and was put Out Of Service til it was replaced. Neither Swift nor the guy putting the tire on could tell me how much it was going to be. Couple days later I opened up my maintenance to buy another tire to put next to it so the tread depths would match better. Again Swift couldn't say how much the national discount was going to be. Love's quoted me at just under $600 bucks. With the Swift 'discount' the bill for that second tire was $567 plus the $30 dollar phone call--- What national discount????
Pincher Creek Alberta, already preplanned on a turn and burn back to Spokane after delivery tomorrow. Hoping for a quick 10 at the drop yard and bring one more 439 mile load back up to Calgary for the pay period- should put me around 2700+ miles plus a 36 hour break included, so a full remuda of hours to work with. -
I know that I asked for a price for new steers, and Petro told me $984 out the door. PHX quoted me $750, for Michelins. Petro was Firestone. Same price as PHX at Sparks, but they could not balance.

ummmm,no idea when i got oil how much it would be....been waiting to have oil containers to put it in.....and of course the fuel island guy had no idea how much it was,so this is my way of finding out.....3.23 a gal for oil tho!!!!
But saw a post by mystic that terminal is 7$ a gallon, still beats the pants off the truck stop.......scottied67 Thanks this. -
They probably dilute it like they water down the w/washer juice. (Never use terminal w/wash in the winter! Buy Walmart -20* for half the truckstop price or make sure you get it at a terminal that knows what freezing weather does to soapy water.) Rotella 15w40 is about $18.00/gallon w/tax so that is a great deal. I wonder what brand they have in the terminals. Probably Jim Bob's Recycled Oil with Bacon Fat.
Still in Buckeye, AZ wasting time. Talked to another Swift driver today who is avoiding the terminal like me who said it took him an entire day to get a load re-worked. If that happens, I will have wasted three entire days with this cat puked hairball load. To add gas to the fire, my phone decided to lock up and croak and this laptop seems to want to crash every time I try to do something that requires the least extra bit of processor. Oh yeah, my CB has a shorted/grounded coax cable, too. It runs from the top w/s center over to the a-post down into the door and through the mirror bracket which will probably require some serious interior disassembly to replace. I have a sneaking suspicion that even though I consider a CB radio safety equipment, the company will not and will not replace it or pay someone else to replace it. What a crap weekend this has been!

I55 north of St Louis in welcome center.
had the volume off on qc today and didn't hear my mistress squawk at me
that I had an hour left till I dropped my lighter and noticed lil red flashing light, oops
yes qc was on floor as I removed the mount cause Im moving it, yada yada.. so I got
parked with 16 mins left.
Went to Amarillo to p/u a load of copper that was to be 35k, uhh huh, sure...
soon as I pulled the trlr to the gate I knew it was more, yup... BOL says 45k
and guard asks, you and owner op. Yup.. yea they lie to you guys, cause you all
Say the samething, hmm. Csr lying to us costs us $$$, I think we should be
compensated for the extra fuel. A lie is a lie, and don't lie to me about my $.. period.
so I've been chugging up the 44 most of the day, sloooowly. Mpg not to bad 6.7,
and I had her pegged most of the day, tight del window.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Drop in Salem in the morning then pu at Target going to day after tomorrow. Told the Troutdale weekend person that I liked the west coast, so he sent me to the west coast... Toledo, OR... Slow whimsy ride. Then Bam! Oh look a huge body of water... Doesn't get much more west coast than that...

Monroe, LA.
I was up all last night driving for a 0900 delivery this morning.
As I was heading south on I-55 I noticed the moon, and it looked strange indeed.
The shadow was backwards.
After an hour or so I realized... it's an eclipse!
So I enjoyed it for a few more hours until I turned west and couldn't see it any more.
Anyone else see it?scottied67 Thanks this. -
Two hours over my drive time last night cause I made a mistake and listened to a woman give me directions that does not know right from left. Sent me out on a farm market road dodging wild animals and hitting swarms of bugs. All I wanted was the local gas station where I can park for the night and I end up taking a road trip to Oklahoma.
What is it with me and these skinny little roads the past few weeks. Anyone delivering to Kimberly Clark in Paris Texas do not take a right at the exit where the girl tells you yea there's a gas station where you can park just go out the exit take a right then another right you cant miss it.
Jeez not one place to turn around for miles and miles finally ended up on 24 north then 69 then to 75 north where I found a rest area two hours later and in Oklahoma. Thank God I was picking up in OK.scottied67 and A21CAV Thank this.
