My insulation load was one of the easiest deliveries ever. Pulled in (Sunday), no one there, dropped my trailer, shoved the BOL copy through a slot in the door, grabbed an empty and headed out. As I got to the end of the driveway I got the next pplan going to Cottonton, AL picking up 41k paper load to Kimball, TN near Chattanoga. Accepted it, dispatched and a few minutes later get a message that the trailer I have is too old, the shipper requires 12 years or newer. Shortly after I get a message with directions to the Walmart DC in Opelika, AL, the new account Swift was advertising for drivers for, to swap trailers. I arrive, argue with the gate people and find a newer trailer, message in to get hooked to it and crickets... I finally call Laredo and go through the whole thing with the weekend planner, hooked and on the way.

I had enough time to pick up the load (newer trailer went to the bad trailer lot for holes in the roof) and only make it a little ways back out to a Pilot. Get up this morning to run it in and I'm blocked in along with a few others by a broke down truck. Mac22 and get going an hour late. When I get to Kimball I get to wait three hours because I was late. Spank me! While I'm waiting I get two pplans. One is 150 miles, pick up a 41K seven roll paper load tcalled at Southeastern Freight in Antioch, TN to Bowling Green, KY. (The first driver who brought the load from GA did something radical that shifted the load forward and close to punching one of the 5800 pound rolls through the side.) The other was 1500 miles, pick up this evening and deliver on the evening of the 22nd. I accepted both because I would be out of hours and have to do a 34 starting tonight so I could pick it up and just sit on it tomorrow. The shorty would have filled out today better than nothing. Half way to Bowling Green the second load gets voided. My DM gets a phone call in the morning from beautiful Franklin, KY at the Pilot, I-65, exit 6.

    Frank

PS: If anyone is going past exit 6 on I-65 in KY tomorrow could you drop off a couple Bud Light tall boys? Tanx.

Still in Franklin, KY. Decided not to call my DM and waste my time, and his, venting over idiots. A few hours ago got a pplan from 50 miles south in TN, pick up a load of store fixtures, and take it 2400 miles to a new Walmart store in Medford, OR. Going fly fishing next week!!!!

Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Truck broke down yesterday, turns out nothing too bad, just an exhaust gas sensor evidently. Warranty covers half the cost although they couldn't tell me what the cost was going to be before I left. Anyway, I'm just finishing my reset and get on down to Lancaster and grab an empty and hopefully bounce out of this hot/humid state.

Cameron, MO, on my way to Prairie Du Chie, WI with this 3700lb load. Finally getting some decent MPG. Getting down to Wichita this morning was a bear. Could not even get 7mpg with the winds. Who knows what I will get out of there in the morning. Nothing around there.
