Youngstown, OH. Not looking good for reloads in the morning. Mac 30 nothing, and a msg from my DM this morning, short over 100 loads in the area. Imagine the morning will be worse, since more trucks getting mt in morning.
Good night from...

Des Moines IA, set for delivery in the AM then pick up another load 800 some miles again to keep busy for the weekend.
Got the bill for the truck in the shop for 1 day-- $130 bucks, not too bad but still... downtime and lost a load etc etc
Was just checking out my May miles and fuel tax page, would have gotten $97 bucks back from over paying IFTA if not for stupid Oregon-- I owe them $110 bucks, so ended up owing about $13 bucks uggg. -
Wallace Idaho. Stopping and having some dinner with my mother. Heading to MN... Got my truck stuck today, bobtail, trying to back under a trailer... Finally got to put on my redneck hat and get er unstuck... Thanks for the other 10 Swifties there to hhelp me. 10 preloaded trailers all going to ssame place, all parked in loose gravel...

Davenport, IA at the J.
Live unloaded this morning in Walcott then went to the TA, then got a pplan that picked up this evening at 1900 - and my 14 ends at 2000.
I get there a bit early so I wouldn't run out of time, as it was preloaded - but, it wasn't.
It seems Purina has a Swift mt shortage and my load won't be ready until 22-2300.
So I'll pick it up around 1100 tomorrow so I can time the delivery correctly - ~500 miles to Grove City, OH at 2330. -
At the Bosselman's/Flying J in Big Springs, NE on I-80 just east of the I-76 split to Denver. Place is enormous and the restaurant is still great. Ribeye! Yum!!!! I was here with Blue in December or January but didn't bother looking around as it was -11* and blowing like cold stink. They've finished remodeling the store part and it might eventually be a nice place again.
I plan on reaching Salt Lake City by tomorrow night and Reno by Saturday night. What to do, what to do? Anyone know of any big truck parking on the strip in Reno? When I lived in Sacramento years ago I would go to Reno about every 4-5 weeks and took a pile of Circus Circus' money. I hope to take away more of it.
Drove almost all day across Nebraska and still have 179 miles to go. It took almost 43 hours of which 62 were in one lane construction zones. No, really, it did! There are thousands of square miles of ethanol corn growing but we have to import grain from Russia to make our bread. Makes sense, right?

You could park at the terminal in Reno, and beta taxi...of the Petro/Alamo has a small casino inside.
After dinner in Walace, I decided I had enough hrs to make it to Misoula... Not too far past St Regis, a youn Bull Moose decided I needed a reason to change my undershorts.... Luckily the three trucks behind me had enough room for my sudden hard braking. -
Still around, just not doing OTR anymore. Based in Lancaster doing the shuttle run to Prescott Arkansas to meet a Memphis driver, swap loads and then back to Lancaster.
Thanks for asking about me! -
Glad to hear you are "still around". Hubby is doing pretty good and growing everyday in his new career. Thank you for all your wisdom and help. Hope to talk to you again soon.
inkeper Thanks this. -
Carlise, PA. finally saw some loads this morning, and everything was pickup tomorrow going to Costco, so yes, I am on one. PU late in the afternoon on Sat and drop on Sun.

At the TA in Tooele, UT. Thanks to Mystic, as I was pulling in I had a sudden visual of a catheter being yanked out of my pal except, never having had that experience, the catheter had barbs like a stingray tail! I think I'll have to find a new SLC favorite place. It has been blowing like stink all the way across Wyoming with the worst of it west of Rock Springs and it was 101* when I parked.
I encountered the Laramie, WY chapter of Scottie's Prairie Dog Chicken Club. They should spread the word that laying down in the oily part instead of the rubbery part of the traffic lane exponentially increases the success rate even though it is not the ideal points paying position. There was quite a bit of squishage today. (Yes, squishage is a real word; it's similar to squashage except much juicier.)
My 10 reset is up at 2:30am and I plan on heading out way too dark early, refuel in Fernley, NV and find a place to park in Reno early afternoon. Time for some fun and only six hours to Medford to deliver by 9am Monday.
Frankscottied67 Thanks this.
