    Lebanon, TN, headed for PA.

I was in Columbus, OH this morning and got a plan to TN - a reposition of 360 miles or so.
I was about 60 miles from my destination when I got a pplan for a real load.
When I pulled over to check where it was I called a DM and asked if I really had to drive to the reposition destination, since it was headed in the wrong direction and I was only 76 miles from the pick up.
He fixed it up and dispatched me on the load.

The pplan had a delivery of 06/26 at 0830, which gave me plenty of time to do it.
When I got the actual load assignment the delivery had been moved up to 06/25 at 1230.
Since I only had 2 hours left on my 14 by the time I was rolling with the load there is no way I can make nearly 900 miles in that time (unless, maybe, I play like a slave machine).
    Total BS.
But there is always Mac 22.

Huh... That's the first I've heard of Costco not lettin you out of the DC of trailer was ready... Costco usually is pretty good... Outbound and in bound... I delivered to the DC in Sumner WA, next door to the terminal, and it took less than 25 mins from he ttime driving up to the gate to the time leaving the gate doing my E Call, live unload... Currently in little falls MN bbobtails waiting with my 14 burning waiting on a load... About 10 Swifties in this area too same Situation... Looks like I may be sitting a while

We got to the receiver OK, fine and dandy. I went in and gave up the bills of lading, then we went out to unlock and unseal the trailer. Enforcer lock will not unlock. I sprayed it deep with WD40, used pliers to give a little extra torque twist on the key, banged it with the hammer, and tried prying it open with a spud wrench. Sent a message to Onroad, meanwhile guard says back out of the way Swift, other truckers have business here. At that moment Onroad said take it to Martinsburg terminal, they will cut it off, it's only 40 miles...

Yeah, times 2 thank you. So I get about halfway to the terminal when, going thru the scales with my hazmat load I realize I had left the BOL's with the guard. Got through OK and had to bobtail back to receiver to get the paperwork. Bobtail back to the terminal (anyone keeping score?) but ran out of hours. So 80 miles is now 160 miles and possible service failure.

I decided to hang here in beautiful Fernley, NV and do an early 34 reset. I had about 6 hours to get to my unload at 9am tomorrow and, rather than sit in Medford somewhere where it's raining, I will head out at 2am with a fresh 70. I couldn't get an early unload since I'm hauling pallet racks to a new Walmart and the construction crew is only there M-F. It got down to 45* last night so I got to do the required monthly 20 minute bunk heater 'exercise' and so far it is only 80* with a cool north breeze. Nice.

I had the truck washed at the Blue Beacon here last night and have taken it back through this morning. It was still cruddy and I got my money back. They just don't do a basic good job even on the re-tries so I'm going to be trying the independents in the future. I get reimbursed for one a month but pay out of my pocket for a few more every month because I just don't like driving a cruddy truck. Now if they only had truck housekeepers at the truckstops to do the inside!

Frank, the route yiu'll be taking up to Medford, US 395, 44, 89 is a wondrous drive. Enjoy the beauty of it... Not to many drives in this country compare to that route.

Now you tell me! I'm heading out at 2am so most of it will be before sunrise. I almost always run days primarily for the sightseeing but mainly because my eyes don't like running at night. I have driven that way in a car years ago.

You haven't heard the sweet things at the truckstop on the radio...they will clean out not only the truck, but you too if you're not careful!

    A21CAV and MicaBay Thank this.

Sorry, this was the shipper with a load going to Costco. They have a rule at this one, can not leave until scheduled time. Can deliver early. Forget getting a mt trailer until morning, and then they might have 1 and then they might have 20. Will not know until at least 9 in morning. Presently here in Morris, IL
