At a Motel 6 in Hesperia, CA five miles from my delivery in the morning. This will be one of my SoCal go to places in the future instead of truck stops. Price is reasonable and there are places to eat other than Denny's all around here as well as a neighboring Shell station claiming to be a truck stop with no truck parking but really good coffee and really cold Budweiser. It feels kind of weird since there's enough room in this room to park my truck so after I took a shower, I did a naked happy dance on the second bed which caused the mirror to crack but, what da' hey?

Phoenix terminal kickin' it until pu at 2300 nearby.....potato chips to denver colorado.... after my costco load cancelled! good to be back at the phoenix terminal where i grew up with swift!

 

Mt. Pleasant, IA. After they took that 1st pplan off me for the same place, they resent later with a back up. After trying to find a mt in the morning since Wally World here did not have any at the time, will be picking up a 22,000lb load and del on Tuesday morning, Mira Loma. End the week with a little over 2800 miles, unless get lucky and grab another one that can deliver on Weds.

 

Still at home enjoying time with the family. My truck is in the driveway, spent part of today cleaning out the interior (been living in it 9 weeks) and installing my Sirius antenna. Tomorrow I'll finish installing my new Sirius radio and get it activated. Also sorted through my tire chains (have enough for 2 trucks) and hung the required chains back on the truck. Only 5 1/2 weeks before Colorado requires them (to be on the truck) on I-70.

Got to Mira Loma yesterday morning and was told they wouldn't be able to fix the ac until next Tuesday, maybe Wednsday. A half hour later my dm calls and tells me he has gotten me another truck. Nice to be reminded how great he's been about taking care of me, but I reminded him I was evaluating buying this truck. Pulled it ot of the shop and picked up this tcall. Anybody have any experience with the Troutdale shop?

When I leased my truck in May I was told Swift no longer leases company truck, just IEL trucks. I have no idea how that affects buying a company truck. Sounds like it's time for you to contact an O/O recruiter.

 

LayThrowup at the moment, waiting for some time to tick by, pickup isn't til noon. Going to the greater Seattle region for tomorrow. Does anyone know if OR58 is open between OR97 and I-5? I will ask on the road/weather report forum as well.

 

Odessa, NE. Was going to go to N. Platte but the little light came on for some go go juice, so just decided to hang it up here. Only have 1320 miles to go to deliver by 0700 Tuesday morning, PST, so I think that I can make Fontana Monday nite if feel like pushing it. Then have to decide if want to hang out in Fontana for a day or try for a short one. Going to have to look at the hours close and make sure that in 4 days, do not screw myself.
