Frank ... take it into the International dealer in N Little Rock ... that clutch should be under warranty and if need be repower your load ... N Little rock is one of the better dealers ... trailer parking in their lot.

You'll get a lot better and faster service at the dealer.

That would be ideal and my preference but I've been told it has to go to a Swift shop. I found out when I stopped in Columbus it had been recently replaced but didn't think to ask if the work had been done at a dealer. I wiil check on that.

At the Flying J in Tucumcari, NM. Just over 600 miles to here from Edwardsville, over 400 of that on secondary 2 & 4-lane roads. Except for the washboard in Oklahoma and the basic poor condition in Texas the majority of the road is in good-excellent condition.

Left Edwardsville @ 79,400 lbs (full tanks). As expected for dragging that much weight through the rolling hills of eastern Kansas and dealing with numerous small towns my mileage sucks....6.7 so far. I've gotten as good as 7.6 at similar weight on flat interstate. A newer skirted trailer never hurts either, the one I'm dragging (despite the work in Edwardsville) is still a piece of crap!

Should deliver early tomorrow afternoon in Flagstaff then I'm homeward bound til Friday.

Here in Moriarty, NM. Sent a pplan today, 1500 miles for sometime Wednesday, no appt, JIT load, declined saying that I can not commit unless have an idea about appt. Resent MAC 9 with my ETA of 1100 that morning, and get a message, that will not work with the customer, load removed. If they already had a idea, then why not sent it, although the load info did say, pta, 0300 on the 13th. Before you say that could have made it, when mt in afternoon, have only a little over 3 hours left, and would have had to DH 1.5 hours. I believe in giving myself extra time. The days of drive 11, off 10, drive 11, off 10, they are done.

Steve, this morning, it was a drop, the only problem, I had to wait for them to finish loading the trailer in the door.

Did a MAC 30 just a few minutes ago, offered two 44K load, 1003 miles, pu 1500 on Monday and del 0700 on Weds. Now according to my calculations, a 47MPH dispatch would take 21 hours drive time, and since I only have 3 hours left after mt, that would mean two breaks, so the computer must be seeing something that I am not. I have a feeling that they are both Plus 1 and that they are a drop anytime that day, but if MAC 30 does not say, then I do not commit. I like to see all of the info, oh, and they were both DeKalb, IL, which would mean morning rush hour, and alot of nice rolling hills in OK and MO.
