this nice empty abandoned quiet lot turned into a truck stop real quick

 

Des Moines, IA on my way to Chicago for a railyard drop at 1pm tomorrow. Stayed at Boselman's/Pilot in Grand Island, NE. Place is ginormous, has everything one on the road might need but no internet/cell signal. They wouldn't let me drive the tank either. Bummer.

Is the truck fixed?

 

The ac was fixed by the techs from International out behind the shop. Nothing else. They lost the write up I did so it sat most of the day. Just accepted a Mopar load Milwaukee to Tappan, NY. If there isn't a tcall in that area I will dh to Jonestown.

Here I think in Cleveland, TN at a new Peelot. Open about 3 months and they are still waiting for Sprint so that they have their Wi-Fi. Right now trying to see if I can get this load dropped on Sunday afternoon. If no serious delays and I can pretty much keep my foot in it, I can make it with 1 hour to spare. If not, then I have to get up at 2 on Monday morning to get it there, which will bite since my clock will be starting quite early, and fr8 out of Houston on a Monday, sketchy. Between now and midnight Ssunday, I have 14.25 hours, and 835 miles to go, and at a avg 63mph, can make it with .50 to spare.

 

Forth Worth by the Racetrack.

 

Milwaukee, WI after picking up a #5k Mopar load going to Tappan, NY by Sunday night. Drop in the railyard earlier in Chicago was a massive pita but nothing compared to the Friday afternoon traffic going north on I-94. Got some really god pictures of the Chicago skyline with the Sears Tower or whatever the new name is. Had plenty of time and even got an hour "off" duty elog time...
