Hammond, LA. Finished getting the truck a B service, total cost with our discount and the Ultimate, $236.00. Went through my logs prior to approving them and found another 30 mins. Now have 6 hours to get to the East side of Houston so that can drop this tomorrow. All of 300 miles to go. Taking bets, think I can make it??? I had decided already today that if I ran out of HOS and was about 5 miles away, I was either going to go to line 5 or just take the violation for being over by 5-10 mins. Had the cruise at 68 today, and still 8.1mpg.

Sparks terminal, finished my load earlier with about 30 minutes to spare on the 14 and luckily have a tcall to pick up at the terminal so was able to bobtail out on line 5. Salt Lake City for Monday, think I will see about taking that free hotel room offer I see in West Wendover for Sunday.
@Rugerfan, I just went ahead and did a full 10 instead of splitting. But the 10 wasn't enough to defeat the swing shift, got about halfway and had to pull over for a short nap.Yes and was blessedly cool, Abby was in heaven running around sniffing all her pee-mail. -
Scottie, I've been wondering about that casino with the free room in Wendover. Let me know if its worth the stop.
Mark, I heard the Houston terminal is bringing in clean porta-potties for driver appreciation week so you have something to look forward to in Houston.
Brookville, PA on I-80 which is somewhere between No and Where. I am amazed at the mileage this truck gets. Even though its a really light load I ran it up against the governor most of the day and still got 9.1mpg. I never got near 9 even running bobtail.

Frank, I am not planning on going anywhere near that termina unless to pu empty or t-call. Only time that I stop in there, if close and late at night, and just for a place to park. With my HOS when I drop this ldd trlr, not going to grab a mt there at con-way. Then can use line 5.

Bosie City, Ok. At the Loves. About two blocks down the street is a good cafe. Great service! Good burger. Okay fries... Better than most TS food/restaurants....

Caldwell, ID @ The Flying J. Enroute to Lewiston fo a Sunday delivery. Must like it here, I stay here every time I get the chance.
Freightliner of AZ screwed up my plans to get a load out of Phoenix Thursday afternoon, instead I got a Costco load on Friday that picked up @ 11:00 am and delivered 7:00 pm in North Las Vegas. Then it was off to the Vegas drop yard to pick up my current load, a t-called trailer out of CA headed for Lewiston.
Only managed 6.0 MPG with the Costco load (78,800 gross), making up for it with the current load (76,000 gross), 7.7 MPG so far. Gotta love newer skirted trailers. -
The PeeLot here in Houston. Dropped the ldd trlr with 55 mins to spare, and bt out. Gotta love line 5. Was not going to take a chance and grap a mt and then find a place to park here at Peelot and Loves. They seem to be full very early on Sunday. Now of course MAC 30, no loads. This is not going to be a gr8 week. Bumping the 70 all week, picking up 10's for 4 outta 5 days, then back to a 3 and a 5, and just before home time. I just know that any offer that I received, it will be computer generated, it figuring if I can make a del, at avg speed of 47mph.

i always figure my time at 50 mph just to be safe. im constantly looking at hte clock and seeing how many hours i have left and always trying to figure what time i can be where
-
Finally did a MAC 30, and 3 offers. Each pu same place, Westvaco Paper, and del on Wed in Chicago. What the heck. took one. said that pu was 0700-0900. PPLAN sent, pu at noon. It is okay. sleep a little later, then find a mt somewhere and still have until 1000 on Wednesday to deliver. Nice little 8 hour driving days. Able to pu some hours along the way.
