This may be the case with the interactions I've had. Also consider even the south doesnt agree which states are in the south... I may have included Memphis as being in the south... Which... Well that town is a crap hole... So...

Either that or they're thinking "What the H E L L was I thinking before I moved down here"

I spent enough time in the south that I started to pick up a bit of southern accent, it's gone now. My daughter is a southerner. She will deny it to her grave, but she was born in North Carolina. -
Any state south of the Mason-Dixon and east of Texas. Some will try to include Texas, I don't because Texas is their own seperate country.....an proud of it!bluebonn Thanks this.

Sometimes Southerners can be a pain in the rear ... but, then I've been married to one for 35 years.

sparks nv... deliver in sactown tomorrow moring at 1030 then home. this pro star is gonna drive me nuts. so tired of the CC turning itself off whenever it feels like it and the dang radio turns off about every 20 minutes.

Home Sweet Home and enjoying a few evening of traditional Chinese cooking. Not the crap that we get in a restruant.
fr8monkey Thanks this. -
At the Flying J in Amarillo, deliver at the Walmart DC south of Albuquerque tomorrow morning.
The sent me a preplan that picks up in Albuquerque tomorrow afternoon and delivers back here in Amarillo tomorrow night. I decided that 2 drop-n-hooks on top of a bit over 600 miles in one day was cutting things a bit too close for comfort. -
4 stops ... 5 pallets ... 400 lbs ... 9.7mpg ... pretty productive day ...OK headed for Cheyenne.
-
At the Albuquerque terminal. Right after I checked in at the Walmart DC they resent me the exact same preplan I turned down last night. Turned it down again.
Ended up with another Walmart grocery load for tomorrow....with a twist. This one has a stop and times that make no sense what so ever. Loads @ 8:00 am, 1st stop @ 1345, final between 1100-1415. This stinks of Plus 1, I'll figure it out when I pick it up tomorrow. -
I've been radio silent for a few days here, lots to catch up on. Left Portland with a load tcalling in Spokane as fate would have it, I happened to park the tcalled trailer right next to the trailer picking up for my next load going to Iowa-- shortest deadhead ever lol.
Abby and I had stayed at Jubitz in Portland, took her for a walk very early in the morning, probably 10 miles round trip. There is a huge park behind the truckstop there, we saw all kinds of wildlife. The coolest creature was a coyote slinking around, we chased after him but he got away lol. When you're traveling I84 eastbound through Oregon there, keep an eye on the hills to the right, we saw a bunch of deer with pointy boney things sticking out of their heads and a few sheep with huge curly horns like the Lost Angeles Rams errr St Louis. Of course lots of Pronghorns throughout the plains. Also saw another coyote off in the the burned forest area somewhere's in South Dakota, could have been a wolf, he looked long legged like Two Socks. Drove right by Custer's Last Stand alas, no commercial trucks allowed.
Had a few load offers yesterday, one I didn't feel comfortable with the 550+ miles and looked like I'd only have 10 hours of driving to get er done as the appointment was firm. Of course turning it down only caused it to be offered thrice more.
Another couple of good loads but could not take them due to having an old trailer with plywood siding interior.
Finally got one I could do, pick up some tomato ketchup (is there any other kind of ketchup?) but after 3 hours sitting on their dock load was cancelled. 2.2 miles away another shipper needs a live load so went over there, they took over 7 hours to load, I bobtailed out several hours ago line 5 and got a nice shower, chilling at Iowa 80.
