Post script on the above:
Got to the Walmart DC this morning, was told I would be picking up a pre-loaded trailer (not the live load my dispatch said). When I picked up the paperwork they started with "Ignore all the crap on your Qualcom" Both drops were between 1100-2100 and the final stop was a drop. The problems started when I sent in my MT call for the final stop. Got a message saying the final was a live unload and that I couldn't drop the trailer. Two Qualcom messages and one phone call got it fixed. -
i got the same message bout not dropping at a sams club when it was supposed to be a live unload but ignored it and then went to the salt lake terminal and got a load no problem. i wasworried though when it said no drop but turned out to not be a problem

Let your dm know, that way he can fix it promptly so you're not sitting when ya could be running.

There is just something about Jubitz I don't like ...
I came up the 25 today - actually in Sheridan tonight - and you're right lots of critters. In the valley just south of the Powder River scenic overlook must of had a dozen herds of antelope all with 8-15 antope. But the strangest one was, out in the middle of nowhere about 15 feet off the highway was house cat ... I'm afraid some fuchtard dumped it out there.
As for ketchup. Yep anything can be turned into ketchup. Amercians were just big on using tomatoes. -
In Weatherford, TX, at the Pilot. I had originally planned to stop at the Pilot in Ft. Worth because they have Idle Air. Problem is that Pilot is tiny, poorly laid out, and I didn't like it the last time I was there. So I listened to my gut and stopped BEFORE dealing with Ft. Worth traffic. I'm 60 miles from final with a 10:00 am delivery so it's all good.
Funny thing happened today. It rained hard enough and long enough that it washed the bugs off my truck that the Blue Beacon truck wash missed. -
yeah i went in to dispatch soon as i got to the terminal and got it taken care of and got a load out of there pronto

I'm at my delivery in Upper Bumlick Montana, they don't even have a dock and the load is boxes not palletized. Mac 30 showing no loads for the next decade or so. But I talked to the nice lady receiving the load, she said she has a pallet that needs to go to Fort Worth TX. Hmmmm. I told her to get on Swifttrans com and request a freight quote and see if they like the numbers (they should, oil drilling outfit-- beaucoup moneybux up here) and load this light little single pallet on my pretty 13 series trailer lol, get er done in style.
See what happens, I hope so because otherwise I'll likely have to deadhead out several hundred miles for a load. -
You know it's been hard day when you only drove 311 miles and are completely wore out!
It started when I went the wrong way enroute to my delivery this morning. I was following the Qualcom's GPS instead of my Garmin. The QC gave me no insite at a freeway split (that was poorly marked) and I took the wrong ramp. I KNOW that my Garmin would have alerted me of the split and told me which way to go. Then I get to final @ 9:30 for a 10:00 am appointment and there's a sign in the receiving office window "back @ 10:15". At least they got me unloaded quickly.
Rather than drive off after my MT call I hung around at the receiver and did one more Mac 30. This one finally produced a load I could/would do. Turned out to be yet ANOTHER water load headed to Walmart. The next challenge was sliding the tandems to get it legal. Took me 30 minutes to get the lever to budge and make the required adjustment. Then some idiot was pulled across the front of the scale when I went back for a reweigh and nearly backed into me.
I ended up at the Flying J in Greenwood, LA for the night. Original plan was to stay in a small truck stop/diner/casino I found near Bunkie, LA a few weeks ago. Running out of time on my 14 ruined THAT plan.
My final gripe: Why do they send you a preplan with a load window of 0815-1400 when I'm scheduled for a live unload 60 miles away @ 1300? Oh, and they wait to send it to you til you're on the freeway in afternoon rush hour traffic.Last edited: Sep 29, 2012
