hehe I thought that was you! I recognized the decal on your Prostar. That was Abby and me when you turned into the Petro there.

Speaking of Monee, if you go around back behind the truck stop into that neighborhood, there is a cul de sac that is totally decked out for Christmas--

Over 700 miles to the load?

Somebody is high on something, IMO.

That'd be nice for a company driver. Sure be there in a day and a half!

Lewiston, Idaho... Going down 95 tomorrow. One of my favorite drives. We'll see if I have to play in the snow or not!

Still sitting at the Laredo terminal. No preplans so far, seen several "offers" on Mac30, just nothing I'm willing to run. When I ask at the wndow they tell me there's nothing going west of I-35.

    Laredo update:

Why do planners wait til the last minute and expect drivers to bail them out?
Example: At 11:45 am I get a preplan for a load that needs to be in Ft. Smith, AR at noon on Sat. Given that the trailer has been sitting in the Laredo yard since Nov 30, WHY did they wait til 24 hours before it's due? Had they sent me the PP earlier this morning I MIGHT have ran it, as it was NO WAY am I gonna run I-35 between San Antonio and Dallas on a Friday afternoon.

So an hour later they send me a PP for a load that needs to be in Indianapolis Monday morning @ 9:30 am. Since I'm more than 1/2 way through a 34 (that I didn't plan) I took the load knowing that I could finish my 34, leave early Sat. morning and get the load to Indy with plenty of time.

    Crackhead planners!

Question, If ( all of you ) were to lease a New truck from me, and I gave you a dedicated run ( 1500 )( one way ) and I payed for everything ( fuel/maintenance etc ) what would be the cheapest by miles you would want to get paid ---- solo/team ?

Martinsburg terminal. Pulled in, did a mac 30 and 2 offeres. Snagged the best, TJ Max out of Philly tomorrow morning and drop in Decatur on Sunday afternoon. Now starting to bump the 70. Either think about a 34 or just run. Think that I will just run. Let the planners deal with my hours. Picking up a bunch of 9's for the next 3 days. then some 8's

    I think that's it.
    The crackhead part.

I get a lot of pplans that have a pu time hours before the current time, but with barely or not enough time to get there from when they send it to me.
And, I have been sitting for several hours waiting before they send it.

It seems like the whole system is to stress out drivers as much as possible.
Send the loads when we will have to rush to the pu, and also have to rush to the delivery. But not a second sooner.
No time to check maps and routes, no time to even run in to the truck stop for a pee.
It's just, get the pplan and drive balls out.

I guess that is why my turndown rate is so high.
I simply refuse to rush things.

I do it safely, or I don't do it at all.

I know the system well enough.
When I get a pplan I punch it in to my GPS.
If I can make the pu time I usually take it, unless the delivery time is too short.

In any case, I ususally send a 'no' and insert my preferred times.
Most times it works out and the times are adjusted, because there is a window of time that I am not shown in the pplan.
    Plus-1 - gotta love it.
