I got the trailer tire fixed this morning, sent a Mac22 giving my new ETA, and headed out for a very nice drive.
Turned out to be 510 miles to the first stop, with about 125 to go to the final.
Too bad loaded miles are only 520.

So I get to Advanced Auto Parts (a DC) at 1615, 15 minutes before my rescheduled time, right behind another Swifty pulling another Raun trailer.
We were directed to pull out of the main entrance lane, off to the side to wait. We checked in with the guard and were told to wait until called.
So we waited and waited, and waited some more.
A third Swifty, also with a Raun trailer (we all picked up at the same place), showed up - and he started waiting as well.

After 2.5 hours my available hours on my 14 were so low that I could no longer deliver the load. It is a live unload and I had less than 1.5 hours left.
So I said so long, see you tomorrow, and headed for the pilot about half mile away.

Dropped today ... stacked a 100 mile shorty, with a 1050 trip to the Rocky Mountains, delivering on Sunday ... turned it down for a 515 miles delivering Monday on the east coast ...

Nice to have the forum back again.

    Fort Wayne, IN.

    It's been fun.
I got a new appointment time for 1615 the next day. Got there right on time.
Then I waited over 7 hours for a dock.
They unloaded me in 20 minutes.
It seems they only have 2 docks open, so every driver waits for several hours.

Get to my final and drop the mt trailer. My pplan is a load picking up at the same place, but I need to find a Swift mt.
And, it's going to another Advance Auto in a different state.
4 days away, for less than 500 miles.

I love this time of year.

Well I've been home for a couple weeks with 2 little loads in between-- 8 days off, 2 loads, then re-routed back to home from Los Angeles, currently at 7 days off. Put the truck in the alignment shop due to the fact the steering wheel was bouncing all over the place, the steers were wearing really bad on the inside and outside toes respectively. The shop custom fabricated two new ubolts that hold the axle to the leaf springs and recentered the shim pack which was shifted forward and bent (ubolts) since before I bought the truck. I thought this job was going to cost in the thousands of dollars because I had previously taken it to a TA for an alignment and those guys couldn't even adjust the tie rod for the toe problem, in fact they heated it up cherry red and still couldn't budge it. The TA also told me the alignment was out 15/32nds on the second axle. Fast forward to the recent shop visit the guy said it was 1 3/8ths out, that explains why the truck handled so poorly. The whole job was only $600 bucks.

What is this new load system all about?
Also if you get a chance, read the What's New section they have relaxed the On Duty Not Driving criteria while being at customers now.
