Had an appointment time for pickup at 2230, live unload on the other end so for this scenario I usually try to start my clock at the last possible minute so as not to run out of time for the live unload. Started pretrip around 2145, my phone and qualcomm blew up saying hurry up and get to the shipper, they close between 2200-2230. HMM how does night crew know more than the day planner who sent this load offer??

Anyway, I get there at 2215, the shipper has cancelled my load. So the night guy says come on back to Lathrop, yeah I don't think so. Staying at the J down the street. So I'm imprisoned in my sleeper for the next 8 hours to preserve and extend my 14 hour clock that was needlessly started.

Sitting at the Baytown, TX J. Delivered my Borger to La Porte load early. Accepted a stacked pair, Baytown to Opelousas, LA then Port Allen, LA to Vernon, CA with a t-call in Phoenix for hometime.

    Life is good.....sometimes! :)

At the Pilot in Breaux Bridge, LA (exit 109). Started the day with only 8:50 on my 70 and only 7:41 coming off tomorrow with a similar amount coming off on Saturday. Needless to say, will not be breaking any records for getting across TX on I-10. Still, should be home (Phoenix) Sunday afternoon which is slightly ahead of my requested homtime date.

After taking 8 days to repair my truck, it is finally finished. Due to holiday today and this weekend, decided to B/T home and wait until Monday. Supposed to pick up student, just do not know where. DM was mentioning Lewiston. We will see.

Loves in Comfort, TX. Anthony TX tomorrow then home on Sunday. Not crazy about only running 7-8 hours a day, but it's better than taking a 34.
