Hot here in Calgary too. There was a glitch with my money card, evidently running across Saskatchewan and Alberta swiping it to buy things set off a fraud alert and they shut it off on me. Wow what stress I ran out of points to get on the Flying J internet and was worried I would not even have the money to fax the manifest to the broker or pay the $10.75 to re-enter the U.S. lol. I don't have phone service up here so that just made things worse, but I was able to hitch on to the Denny's internet after the manager gave me the passcode and get things straightened out. Took a personal advance as well, got some of that funny money to spend lol.

its been hot everywhere, 107 where im at today, visiting with my wifes grandparents near Hanford, CA. My daughter is taking a nap and then will be taking her outside to expose her to her first firework show, hopefully she enjoys it.

Will be getting up pretty early, have to drive back home since I forgot a couple items which is 3 hours and then its another 2.5-3 hours to get to the terminal.

I started realizing some things I forgot in my truck when i turned it in which irritates me and I know I wont see them again, my brand new push broom on the back of the truck, brand new big roll of duck tape and my portable butane stove. I was in such a hurry to get everything out of the truck since it was so hot and my wife and daughter were waiting on me.

You never know, they might have saved it for you. We have some decent guys in Lancaster that bag up forgotten items and wait for the drivers to ask for them.

Hilarious. I'm in exactly the same situation. 35 years in Information Technology, just finished school and starting as an OTR driver. In my case, it's my wife that says she's proud of me. I think it's because she never really understood what I did in IT.

    Thanks for that!
