Been sitting at the house since Tuesday, and I'm going to be heading back out tomorrow. My girlfriend's getting on my nerves, so it's definitely time to be heading back out. I stayed out for about six weeks last time around, but I'll probably only go out for about a month this time.

Its nice not having to be responsible for all those people. Don't have to be politically correct or worry about hurting somebody's feelings. Traffic/Car Drivers will be the most annoying thing we will have to contend with.

Sitting at the Railroad Pass Hotel/Casino in Henderson, NV. My truck is on it's way to Freightliner of Las Vegas via tow truck.

Pulled the hill from the dam, truck was hot, but not abnormally so. As I was passing the turnoff for US95 my check engine light comes on followed about 10 seconds later by the red engine shutdown light. So I turned into the parking lot for Railroad Pass puking coolant the whole time. The coolant was coming from the left rear of the engine.

On-Road did an excellent job and the people who needed to found a driver in Vegas to come out and repower my load.

I grabbed the last room here (remember, it's Friday night) BEFORE I called On-Road, then called my wife who is will be here shortly.

I'm actually suprised at how calm I've about the entire incident. Chalk it up to STUFF HAPPENS.

I was an air traffic controller for 32 years....and I miss it! (I retired)

As for not having to worry about people's feelings and so forth....not so fast weedhopper. You have to deal with CUSTOMERS on an almost daily basis.

true enough. However, that is probaly a few drops and pick ups a day. Not quite like having 100 plus folks work under you, having to woryy about sexual harrassment issues, the race card players, etc...I too, worked for the Government, where folks love to file for any little thing if they didn't get their way. You know they type, I'm talking about if you were ATC..

Ahhh ... but the skies are probably safer for it

What engine do you have in that Cascadia ... a DD or the Cummins?

In Little America ... not whole lot, just a little.
