I have been lucky to get showers every single night except one in the past week, my loads have worked out where I get to stop early for the day before truck stops get full, if its dark I dont even bother half the time going to a truck stop and will just find a rest area. Im out of shower credits at both flying j/pilot and loves so we will see if I get a load and a fill up soon. I dont like paying $10+ for a shower.

I ate breakfast today and thought I would get a load by the time I wanted dinner, still stuck at this rest stop but didnt want to drive too far in fear of getting in trouble just driving places. I have a can of chili beans and I could always heat them up like I did once, I stuck it in the engine compartment where it was in a good spot and then ran the regen and 30 min later I had hot chili lol. I wanted to get a cooker the other day but I want the Burton stove that does slow cooking and all that stuff, just need to get to a ta/petro for it.

Trucks can't park at Otay Mesa - no room.
It's either at the Pilot or on the street.

Try using the cruise control button...turn on and slide it to the accelerate position, release it and you should see the idle message show cancel on your dash display.

Thks for reply but it don't work. Called breakdown they said just hit clutch if it don't work take to shop. Tried ur method didn't work. Took it to shop they said they got it setup where you can't cancel idle unless its -30 out or over 80 out. Got an ambient temp sensor on it. They said nothing they can do will have to go to Phoenix. I told him well gage days it 100 out and it feels 120 out. Well this gauge is wrong. Miserable trying to sleep I tell ya!!

Company drivers do get mac 30, I believe you have to be Gold to get it ... but it's not just on time, it's also volume ... you need to be pushing 2500 miles week for over a year to qualify ... you can get it quicker if you can consistently push 3k plus a week ... if you want to do it, you need to learn to flip your schedule and drive when the freight is available, not just when you want to drive. All that and be accident free for the past year.

NY ... P/U tomorrow and head to UT.

There's a youtube video from a Swifty that uses the Wambasta heater as a can cooker. He loosened the hose clamp where the heater hose meets the outlet. He then puts the hose into a box with a hole cutout for the hose. Then he uses a lift flap to put the desired can good into the box and turns on the heater. 20 min later hot soup, beans, etc.

OK as last reported, deadheaded over 200 miles for the load from Minnesota to Wisconsin delivering in Mississippi 800 some miles loaded. Along the way was offered a load right out of the same place, just needed to adjust my delivery schedule so it became a drop and a hook right back into a preloaded trailer going to Houston for the morning, doing a 10 in Jackson MS. Will hit up Mac 30 a little later (still 21 hours til PTA) and see what's shakin in Houston.

FYI watch your pay and miles, I have 4 loads that are missing the West Coast rebate, DM says that is not her job, so have to call payroll to straighten it out. Also had a load that showed 55 empty miles but when the load assignment came through they paid only 22 miles, once again DM says I should not have accepted the load offer (it was different than the mac 30 offer) so suck it up.
