depending if I get a load I will be getting a 34, I have been working off my recap for over a week but I gained almost 20 hours since I been here and I have another 9 or so gained tomorrow and 10 the next day so I dont really need the 34 right now. I gained 12:50 last night, im on recap of my heavy days right now

Been running off my 70 for the last week. Trying out a theory of mine. I am going to get messed up towards the end of this week when I have a day with nothing to pick up, but before then and after that one, mostly all 10's. If I would have waited another 2 hours in Sparks on Tuesday, I would have gotten a 34, but did not want one. Also pretending that I am back in the old days, before 34's

I rejected my last 34 when I was stuck in Phoenix, I think I finally got out of Phoenix on the 8th so been running on recaps since then and have been doing well doing so. I am not sure if I will reject this one or not, will take a look at all 8 days and see my recaps in the future but for right now I will have close to 30 hours at midnight but I do have a couple days in there I only drove 2-4 hours.

OK woke up from nice deep nap with many a scary dream, sent macro 30 and scored a nice run down to Laredo. I was expecting to sit around Houston all day Sunday but beggars cannot be choosers so accepted the load, brings total up to 2111 for the week so far. Hopefully the MovieMan has the Lone Ranger on DVD in Laredo lol.

And THAT'S why I turn my phone's ringer and the Quacom's volume off when I'm sleeping in the truck.

Currently taking a 34 in Moses Lake, WA. The planner at the Walmart DC (where I'm running surge) told me that the return time (to the DC) meant NOTHING and that it was perfectly OK to take a 34 in the middle of a load so long as I had made my deliveries. When I sent my last Mac 4 I got 2 computer generated messages about being late and needing to send a Mac 22......which I ignored.

FWIW: Running surge is HARD WORK compared to OTR.

    Are you back to solo?

That's when you play it back on them, "if you require me to step out of the sleeper bed, then I have to go on duty". or "will you give me your personal phone number so I can call you tomorrow night so I know you are at home?" Even better yet-- "Yes I am at home with the trailer, will bring it back in a couple of days when I am done with it".

But like Steve said, I just turn the ringer way down. Had a load not too long ago with problems, finally made it to the final about 2.5 hours early, sent arrival, they could not take me then so I pulled around off the street and went to sleep. Some time later the phone rang, I thought it was a good idea to answer because of the previous night's problem. Turns out it was the night zombie at Swift terminal all panicky begging me to go rescue a load. I was way bleary eyed and exhausted, all I said was "OK, let me see what time it is" then just hung up on him as I was not even empty yet. Then the qualcomm message came thru "thanks for committing to that repower verbally" lol. I had to call him back and have him remove it, legit excuse, I was indeed not mt yet and no idea when I would be.

Made it to Houston, to the customer's drop lot, had to open their gate with the combination given over the qualcomm. MT call would not go through "must obtain an mt trailer" -- lol what do you want me to do hook up to an Ashley? So they sent a 'talk down to you' message-- go to the Houston terminal and get an mt. Got there she said 'no mts here'.
