Lordsburg NM at the pilot. Got a 16k load going to lowes dc in perris ca. Got home time Thursday so hopefully they'll let me unload then head to Mira Loma to park and go home. The old truck they gave me (565 k miles) needs some minor work so I might see about a shop visit since my PTA wont be until noon Saturday.
Good night from...

I think he is referring to the load lords are really screwing up consistently lately

I got up early this morning to run down to the truck stop and fire up the truck for a few minutes to charge up the batteries, warm up the oil and approve logs etc, anyway on the way back stopped at Carl's Jr for coffee and saw a local Coca Cola driver had tried to cut through the Carl's parking lot. Well there is a concrete filled pipe pole in the middle of the parking lot, this guy plowed right into it trying to turn around. His bumper and hood were were all smashed in and he was desperately trying to straighten it out but I fear he will lose his job over this.

Don't think so, I am a company driver.

Not sure if i should put this on this thread but i'll go ahead and try..I have been hauling frac sand in the fracking industry.. i am usually gone 6-7 weeks at a time and yes the money is amazing but quite frankly im tired of being gone so much and goin nowhere if that means anything to you, i am seriously considering driving for swift but my long term goal is to own or lease my own truck. not in the near future but one day i hope to, i have driven over the road and i want to get back to it. So basically i am asking yall for some info on swift and any advice on the orientation process and what to expect..And please to all the people thats goin to bash swift i ask keep it to a minimum, im really looking for the people that want to be honest and good opinions of swift, and i know there is good and bad about every company.i do have 9 goin on 10 years exp. on a side note the frac hauling was otr just on a limited basis..i have been accepted as a experienced driver and told id have a 3 day orientation in columbus ohio... im just looking for some info b4 i say yes or no

Here at the Peelot in Lordsburg, NM. Got her with 10 mins left on my 70, and that was pushing with the cruise set at 68 the whole way from Junction, TX. Also like others, seent a pplan yesterday morning, no apt time set for del. Called the DM and mentioned this and told, I will not accept a pplan that does not have a appt time on it. he told me that he agrees and just go ahead and accept, and if the delivery was for 3 days, then we would just later refuse. the only problem with that, by that time, I would probably already be at the shipper. If it was too long, they were going to set up a t-call in El Paso. Got the del appt, 0500 tomorrow which I had a feeling it was going to be since I have done this load before. Phoenix.
Had a very nice delivery yesterday. It was a load of mattresses, and it was delivering to a Texas U dorm, with the University just around the corner in walking distance. Parked on the street, in the shade, and it took 4 hours to get off loaded. Did not mind. I just sat on the wall watching all of the scenery, and there was a lot since there were some other dorms in the area, and less than 1/2 block was one of the main streets that they were using to get to the U. Plus there was a Starbucks on the corner. My poor eyes when I left.inkeper Thanks this. -
tons of topics here about orientation and stuff, this is not the topic for company info. You will be out for weeks at a time with Swift too and the money sucks compared to what your doing now.
anyway parked at a truck stop down the street from the walmart dc here in MCcaran, NV, got 4:29 left of drive and 6 hours on my 14 so if they dont send something soon then im going into SB, probably wont see anything until tomorrow in this area anyway. -
Here at one of my Favorite places, hotel in Goodyear, AZ for the next 2 nights. busted my butt to get to del at 0500 this morning, only to find out that this customer is now drop and hook. Yah CSR

At the house for a doctors appointment Friday. I've been poked and prodded and cat scanned to near death maybe now I will finally get some easy to understand diagnosis chatter. Have my PTA set for Saturday so we'll see if that produces a load worth hauling. If not momma gets to have her way with me for another day or two
