Finally got 2 offers on MAC 30, and not touching either one, 250 miles for Tuesday late morning and one from Beaumont to Eagan, MN for Thursday morning, and not load until 1800 Monday nite. Will not help this pay week, and home time the 28th. It will get me to close to home where I could end up with a few short loads to keep me in the area. Been there, done that.Last edited: Oct 20, 2013

I agree, its a mess trying to find stuff
I like how Lathrop is organized, you know which rows are for what, of course sometimes you might find an mt in the loaded section. -
So I was scheduled for hometime in California Oct 10, was in Texas and offered a load to Topeka KS (getting close right?lol). Anyway the last time I was up that way I had received a message to help out on the Harrisonville MO Walmart blitz. I had delined in hopes of getting home but this time I called them back and offered my services. I sat at the Topeka service area for about 24 hours waiting for them to get me a load and boom they have been running me every night since. This gig is absolutely wonderful. Anywhere between 200 to 400 mile runs with 2 to 5 stops returning back to the DC loaded pay both ways (full and empty) running reefer produce, meat and lots and lots of pumpkins. .There is no Plus 1 involved, plenty of time between loads 30 to 100 miles apart and the stores unload usually within 30 minutes anyway. Abby gets out at every stop for a quick walk which is really good for her compared to being cooped up 4 hours at a time when we are OTR. 12 to 14 hours between shifts so I bobtail down to the J for showers and food. -
Scottie, I thought that you were leaving. Awhile back I was asked to help with a surge at Harrisonville. It lasted for me and two other L/O one day. The second day we asked where a load was and was told, the regular company drivers on the account come first. We only fill in if there are too many loads. All 3 of us left that day

I never log brake checks
on the mt trailer subject I have seen drivers use seals etc trying to hide an MT, when I was looking for one and my DM told me there was an MT there and gave me the number, had a seal on it. I hooked up to it and gave a little pull and it felt empty so I tore off the seal and sure enough empty so I took it.
If you want to secure an MT then connect to it and remain connected, I have seen lazy ### drivers who want to bobtail closer to do stuff and then hook up to a MT later. -
got the walmart load dropped. then did a pick up in san bernardino to tcall in mira loma. dang, lost my empty again. walked the mira loma again to no avail. saw a driver on the phone by that one trailer i thought i had this morning. heard him say "good, i'll hook up". so i pointed at the kingpin lock. told him what happened to me this morning. anyways, bobtailed to fontana yard to get dinner and watch some football. decided to walk around to find an mt and suprise....first trailer i walked up to was empty and available. so got that attached to me for tomoorws adventure lol
