Just chilling at the Sheetz in Greencastle, PA. On a "standby" day today. I managed to land a dedicated Target spot out of Chambersburg, and so far, I've been running pretty hard.

The WiFi at Sheetz is pretty good. No Bittorrent (blocked), but then, it *is* free. Netflix works just fine.

 

I was hoping to get back on that Harrisonville Walmart gig. On the way up from Baytown TX to Ottawa KS, got a preplan picking up ironically in Harrisonville MO (not Walmart) going to your favorite customer in Morris IL lol.

 

Home ... 'til at least a week from Monday.

 

Franklin, KY. What a head wind. Now getting 6.4mpg. This is getting old. I have not been able to average over 7mpg for 3 weeks now. Just glad that with this new app can find cheap fuel. Today found a place just south of Lima, OH, $3.69/gal. It was about .20/cents per gal less than the big boys and .25 less than the big boys in KY. I think that in the last 2 weeks, I have saved close to $125, and with this fuel mileage, I need that.

Now starting to go through coolant. No puddles in the morning, but have to add almost 1/4 gal in the morning. About 2 weeks now. For awhile it was about 1 gallon every 2 weeks, not getting worse. No Mystic, I do not fill it up.

 

If the coolant is not leaking out the outside, it is going inside the engine.
That means a cracked head, possibly through the EGR system, or somewhere else.
But you need to find it fast, before you lose an engine.

 

pheonix terminal. got a preplan to p/u tomorrow at 1600 and delivers monday morning at 0200. called fontana and ask if any loads for today. didn't want to sit for a whole day and dont drive thru the nite. he said he call planners. waited for an hour and called for an update. got someone else and she said theres no freight.so i told her if i'm gonna sit, mite as well set my pta for 0600 monday morning that i"ll get a 34 hr reset.

 

she said for me too drop empty at terminal. asked her why, she said its company policy.i told her i've done a few ithout loosing an empty. so i drove over to pheonix and guy at the fuel island asked if i was keeping it. told him i am dispatched on a load( got a looad p/u in tolleson and delivers in mira loma)that picks up monday and wanted to keep it. he said ok.

 

meanwhile, mechanic was checking trailer and said i ned a tire replaced which he did. asked him if he can cut this rubber thing thats been hanging off the rite tank. i thought it was more rubber they forgot too trim off. he said it was coming out of the bracket and needed to be fixed. so drove over too shop and they looked at it and agreed with him.a,so needs a b service and also told him about adding coolant every two weeks and showed him where it looked like it was leaking from. he said they mite be able to get it all fixed by monday, maybe tuesday. i was going to wait till thanxgiving before putting it in shop for the coolant and the hanging rubber since i'm taking 4 days off and will loose the truck.

 

look for a program called Torrent2exe, it bypasses the blocks, I found it when I was at a terminal and my bittorent would not work and I really wanted a show downloaded and I have used it at some other blocked wifi's

 

Tullulah, LA. Woke this morning for the second morning in a row without my coolant bells going off so I think that it is okay now. Not losing any that I can see. I think that it was because I might have been going just enough past the 1/2 mark so when expansion happened it would cause it to go below that area after cooling. Will see again in morning. Lots of decent loads on MAC 30, just none going home. Up to IL and over to VA. I think that MAC 30 does not see a home request, just like the planners at times. Hope that not sitting in morning. Was told that plenty of fr8 down here to get me home by Wednesday. If not, then a call to Command. I bet that they have some.
