Deductible buy down is exactly what it sounds like. Spend a little now vs ALOT later. Glass coverage was a no-brainer for me. I've replaced the driver's side twice (and it needs it again) and the passenger side once since May 2012. Some think ATBS is a waste of money but my taxes are VERY complex and I like letting someone else do all the dirty work for me. I just ignore their recomendations concerning quarterly taxes.

I resemble that statement ... my initial thought would be that someone who can juggle the demands of managing the sky should have no problem figuring out the intricacies of the tax code ... but then to someone who has the personality it takes to deal with the multiple real time issues it takes to manage the sky, I could see where a bullet to the head could be preferable to wading through the drudgery of the paper, filing and collating to do your taxes.

Well good news bad news. Got great escape plan from CO giving me a nice week. But, it leaves me sitting on the Rio Grande with no opportunities to roll on Turkey Day

The two most stressful things I've ever done were raising a teenage daughter as a single parent and doing my own taxes. Air traffic control was EASY compared to those two. I deal with real time issues very well, the more complex the better. Paperwork is a whole nother issue. That said the paperwork required for trucking is uber simple compared to aviation, my anal-retentive nature handles it very well.

I think it would have been easier as a single parent, than with a stay at home menopausal wife. You only had one hormonally challenged person to deal with.

Once I year I could lock myself in a room for a few days and say don't bother me, I'm doing the taxes.

That's why I have a Cpa. The end of every quartet, hand over the paperwork for do far, she get a jump on it, then the end if year I give her the rest and wait for the 1099. Now with the wife here, I have to try and explain all that I am doing and also, not messing with that quarterly crap

Fort Stockton, TX. Guess that turkey dinner is going to be a sub from the deli here. Miss the old days. There is a Flying J up the road, but no longer a sit down. If there would have been a Petro between El Piso and here, I would have stopped.

I spent a thanksgiving several years ago at the Flying J in OKC. The food was amazing and the staff were great. I was planning on finding one this year but they are all Denny's or some other non-buffet setting. It was a real disappointment.

For kicks sent mac30 this am, 265 mt 580 loaded hmmm no thanks. Got a preplan some time later 57 mt 1100 loaded. At least I will earn back what I lost at to the casino.

$40 is all that I invest with any gambling trip.
$20 on the blackjack table, and $20 to a machine if the cards don't work out. Sometimes I do it backwards.

If I'm lucky I'll come away way ahead, and if not I never lose more than I can afford.

I've lived in both Reno and Las Vegas, and I've learned that you hit the jackpot early - or not at all.
You either walk up and hit it, or you just keep feeding it until you are broke.

Still sitting in Oakdale waiting for a mechanic. Blew through air during my pretrip brake check and got out to find a crack in the service airline just below the gladhand. It's an old trailer (or coarse) so I'm guessing the line was just brittle and cracked in the cold while sitting over the holiday. Not having great luck with trailers.
