Jonestown tonight; have an 0800 live unload 70 miles away. Then, probably back here for a 34, and hopefully get my batteries load tested. QC shouldn't reboot from starting the engine after being shut down 10 minutes. I'll see if I can get them to put some freon in the A/C so my defroster works.

I have not had that issue with my qc at all, only issue I have often is "out of route" while going down the interstate and even in areas it has never done that before.

tomorrow so far looks like a slow day, going to Pasadena and then a possible yussen in Long Beach then off to home for 2 days, hate that Pasadena store though, you have to fight traffic using 2 lanes to make a sharp left turn into the store then go up the ramp for the 2nd floor of the parking structure and then you have to back around a row of cars while watching out for idiots trying to fly up that entrance while backing. Then leaving you have to take the same entrance out which is a one way in, the out entrance you cannot get a truck through there, even a day cab will hit some poles. The worst part is that my load doesnt cut until 14:45 so I will be hitting Pasadena right during the rush hour traffic so should be fun unless I sit around for a few hours before taking off but I dont want to get back super late then try to head home.

I've never gotten an out of route message, even when I am way out.

I'm at the Denver terminal to get my bumper repaired. Some animal decided to commit suicide the other day.

I was sent 2 pplans when I got here.
The first picked up at 2200 tonight and delivered 400 miles away in NE at 0930 for a live unload.
The second picked up by 2000 that night, delivering in MO at 2300 the next night about 400 miles away.

No way to fit the first in a 14 hour shift, and the second gave less than 10 hours to pickup 2 hours away.

Glad I had a good reason to turn them down, because I don't want to get on a night driving schedule.

for all their preaching about running true 199% legal logs, the planners seem to encourage and require us to cheat to make their schedules.

Been home for 2 weeks enjoying the drought and nice weather. Heading to orientation next week for another carrier that can keep me busy running up and down I-5. It will be nice to visit family up in Washington//Oregon and also roll through the house every few days

Also to just glance at a plan, accept it with no planning, and start rolling - because the pick up time is so close to the current time.
I'll get a plan at 1200 that is 60 miles away, with a pick up time of 1300-1315.

It bugs me, but I'm used to it.
I always plan it, and usually turn it down the first time to add more time.

Sitting at the dock in Milwaukee for my 6am appt. then up to Neenah to grap a fairly heavy KC load, 30K, and t-call in Nogales on the 3rd. Almost home. Now just have to find one outta there to el paso. Was sent a pplan when I woke this morning, dh to Green Bay for a P&G load going to Detroit, 2 stops, live, Costco. Could not see how Detroit gets me to el Paso. Planners just trying to throw something on the wall and see if it sticks.
