Here in a hotel. Truck is staying over night. They have to replace the ECM. Worst part, to get into it, they had to hack it, after they got 3 passwords from Swift and none worked. I had the password. They never asked. They also have a jump on the truck now since when I was trying to get stuff from the truck, no lights.

yeah dp thats what I did this morning, another driver told me after I was talking to one of them.

well I never heard anything as of today about the rite aid account so I called up the onsite manager at Target and asked him if he ever heard back from the guy and told me nope and that he would call me in a few minutes. About half a hour goes by and he calls me back "im bringing you back to Target" woohoo I love you is what I told him ;)
He said he decided to fire someone and wanted me to return, I asked when and he said right after my current load he would be sending me after an mt and bringing me down, told him I only had 4 hours left on my 14 and still being live loaded so he said to call him in the morning and he will be sending me to the DC in Rialto for a mt since somehow they ended up with one of the Shafter trailers and the planner is supposed to call me tonight with a load tomorrow afternoon that will fit the hours left.

I am a happy guy tonight, also after doing some of these places for walmart I appreciate some of those harder target stores now lol.

Went to a place today that was really tight, another swift next to me was sitting in his cab smirking, I thought "screw you dude, you are in a daycab" took me about 5min or so to get into the dock.

Decided to sit in Fontana tonight since I wont be needing a trailer out of Mira Loma again

Sparks, NV terminal for a b-service.

Shop was closed when I got here so I don't know what kind of wait I'll have. Looks like 4 or 5 trucks in front of me, judging by the red zone parking.

im due for a 90 day bit, asked the manager today if he wanted me to get it done tonight or in the morning and he told me he would rather send me to Lathrop so its quicker and I have until Sunday to get it done before safety hold. I should be getting fairly close to a b-service aswell, guess I need to check on that, I know sometimes if its close we can get it done early if already going to a terminal since the manager said it cost the fleet too much to go back several times.

I was in Sumner a last week, but it would have been a 3 day wait and I still had 1,000 miles until maintenance hold.

The fan on my Coleman cooler is failing, it barely keeps things cool now.
There is a Best Buy about a mile away, so I'll probably grab a cab tomorrow when the truck is in the shop.

best buy sells the parts to the coolers? or you just want to go look around? I love best buy but my wife hates going there with me, she said im like a kid in a toy store.

I really want one of those new 4k tv's, those who havent seen them yet they are the next generation, its 2160p and has a resolution of 3840x2160. I sat and starred at one and couldnt believe the details and how clear of a picture was. Just like with all the other technologies that came out there isnt a lot of content for it yet but its supposed to start replacing all the 1080p tvs. They have a hefty price tag though just like when plasmas made their first appearance, my wife told me I better not go out and spend $5k on one lol.

The Coleman uses a standard 80mm computer case fan, unlike most other coolers that have odd size fans.

A little history on that load: On the way to get it, got stuck in a traffic jam and had to do a 10 hour break right on the freeway. Pick up in Portland, usually can nearly run it all off to SLC in one shift, but only made it to Jerome ID. From there the next morning it was dry road to the split south, then icy roads around the border of ID / UT. Several trucks were stopped cattycorner in the freeway on a little incline, meanwhile I had already engaged the differential lock previously and powered right on by those folks up the hill, albeit very slowly. Once I got to the summit that's where I put on the chains. Took chains off at the exit ramp about a mile from the exit 7 truck stop, just was killing me to run on hard pavement with chains, didn't want to break any more.

Anyway a big huge thank you to Steve for holding that empty trailer for me, saved me some time as I only had 3 hours left on the 70 when I saw you and still had to go 40 more miles to a live load which also luckily turned into a drop/hook. Ran down 15 to one of the J's and stopped with 10 minutes left on the 70.

Stopped now in Mesquite NV looking for a craps game but it is too early in the morning. However did put $20 bucks in a slot and it spit out $51. $1 to the coffee girl and a big fat sit down breakie and big fat tip to the waitress; so nice to pay for it all with the casino's own money . Will go on down to Whiskey Pete's and scare up a game there and leave for LA before midnight to beat that morning rush.

    inkeper and SteveH85396 Thank this.
