    This guy was happy...still married with and was braggin about having great grand kids...hes worked hard to make sure his.family can enjoy life after hes gone.

    I haven't been there for a while, last time it was a Quaker Steak, i here it's something different now.

    and most truck stop bars suck, I like to walk away and hang out with normal people.

    I think the Sam Bass saloon out near Big Springs, NE has the worst customers of anywhere.

    I have a good friend who is 66 , in good health and still trucking at h@m .
    He's been driving since his early 20s and I could listen to him all day and night .

    hey Chinatown..........Your right,

    the Chinese AND Japanese LOVE the old school Harleys and Triumph's, They love Making them into Long Nose Choppers, I Mean Really Long Choppers- I Seen some really Cool lookin bikes over there,

    Figured it was a long shot but when op said the driver was a great guy and op could have talked to him all night, that's what I was goin on :D

    He sounds like a fellow I encountered a few years ago in Oklahoma. I didn't actually talk to him but all of us at the round table heard him and the guy he was chatting with.

    He said he'd started driving in 1965. The other guy said "Holy...... I'm getting close to thirty years on the job, but man you're looking at fifty?"

    The veteran said " Well, don't misunderstand. I've retired four times. But I bet I got more miles backing up then most drivers have going down the road"

    We all raised our cups and glasses.
