Wow really?
With all the complaining about it, it is like they wanted to stop people from making money.
OK smart *** comment done for the day.Chinatown and crazybread Thank this. -
I would never tell anyone to break the law, but when was the last time you heard of someone being prosecuted for it? It is a misdemeanor, so either the LEO would have to witness you doing it in real time, or the other party would have to arrest you as a citizen, prove you were in California when you recorded them, and the DA would have to sign off on prosecuting it.crazybread Thanks this.

Well thank you I went to California career school. The easy thing to do is to have them message you on qualcomm and could just take a Picture of it for Proof. The thing that kind of concerns me for both swift and Werner is that they have many violations for having drivers without a cdl.
-
Some of them won't message you, the QC messages can't be deleted, leave a paper trail, and their management can read them, dispatchers know this.
I would not worry to much about some drivers not having a CDL, both are large companies, and you have yours, which is what counts. I would almost bet the majority of the no CDL violations are not having a valid medical certificate, basically they expired and they either forgot, or they put it off until the last minute and last minute caught up with them. Being in the OC, there are a few places you can probably get permission to park, check around Santa Ana, there are few mom & pop companies that may let you park in their yards, also look in Westminster. I would drive the area, if you see a yard, stop in, explain you will not be there often, maybe a few days every month or two, ask if they rent space for a bobtail. I heard at one time you could park at the OC Fair Grounds for a few bucks a month when they are not having the fair, not sure if you still can or not, same with the old El Toro Base. -
That is good when I take my home time I would think that the best thing to do is to drop off your truck at a terminal.
-
Congratulations.
-
Did you go with Werner?
-
Yes I went to Werner to check them out at the fontana terminal and was able to talk with the terminal manager there. I am very lucky because he use to work at swift so I was able to get a better understanding of what makes Werner and swift different. I was very impressed with Werner and would have to be blown away with swift to pick them. Would still have to set up a meeting with swift to check them out and see if I like them more.

Its aganist the law for them to force you to drive. Also, companies are going to tell you anything you want to hear to get you in the door.Protein Hauler and Chinatown Thank this.
