And why do they think you need to pay their legal fees to represent them, not you?

what you mean on another and ooida involvement ? ...i am not a member
i do believe there is a retainer they will ask and bills will pile up fast at 3-400 hourly ....
i am thinking about filing small claim court but not sure if it will help anyhow
shipper is the one who did find the scammer or have direct involvement in all this , instead or reversing zelle payment and filing police report he acted very arrogant , rude and disrespectful as well as weird ...i am not sure who can start investigation or how its done ...broker that got hacked mentioned that we are 3rd person claiming on them and shipper mentioned that his beloved broker moved 3 vehicle same week without problem ...what a lovely enterprise
it will be nice to find another 2 scammed carriers and hear their story but broker said its sensitive information that can not be shared

You and/or your lawyer would know. No way should you sign a business contract without 100% understanding of every word in it.

At this point you need a lawyer to deal with the lawsuit. They will almost certainly tell you to stop posting about it online and probably tell you to delete all of this. While you did try to cover up most of the names in your post you missed your name and your company name at least once each.

meant another as another lawyer who handles cases like that with transportation contracts.
They’ve already filed suit against you, so now you need a lawyer.

Pavrom, I have gone through this a few times.

Just so you know you should not post anything else from this point on. It is too late to get the thread deleted.

Get ahold of the lawyers mentioned, it will cost you.

It is cloudy who got paid, you may have to engage an investigator to sort through all of this.

At minimal, the broker is culpible, making a claim of hacking does not mean they are not liable.

There is a lot of questions that should be answered, it gets cloudy of who is doing what and the complaint, especially with interference with a contract is a joke.

My lawyer's first question is this - who is the party responsible for the payment of shipment, not the one who initiated it. He would go after that party and the broker, and he has in the recent past.

The other thing that you have to keep in mind is the shipper filed something that can be tossed easily, it is cheap to do this to scare you out of pursuing the money. Because of that, I would move to put a lein on the vehicle and hold it until there is a payment and damages paid for all of this crap.

Good luck, this is getting more and more common of a scam.
