Haha! No kidding. He’s probably still got the taste of foam rubber in his mouth.

I don’t know. This is the kind of driver who wears stereo headphones all day and has a hoodie pulled up over his headphones, to boot.

You know those things are good to the last drop eh? If the rivets did not scare him (They need huge forces to fail) the shriek of tearing metal will along with sinking feeling.

Well, whatever sick and cold feelings he felt, they couldn’t have been experienced by a more deserving individual.

We had one near here, I don't want to look it up, but that one got the tractor across and left the feed tank hanging out over the river. That truck was local but out of a different county just south of the one the bridge was in. That was a 30 ton rig on a 3 ton bridge.

I had a "trainee" on my truck years ago. I asked him (in reference to a weight restriction sign) "how many lbs are in a ton?".

    He had no idea...

Short ton or long ton or metric ton or f**kton?

FYI, Texas has a bunch of smaller roads with a weight limit of 58,240 pounds. That comes to exactly 26 long tons.

D.Tibbitt and Scooter Jones Thank this.
