I had this a few days ago. Lucky I can read a sign. End up parking it there and using a forklift to finish the job
The bridge going over the Cumberland River on Highway 48 into Clarksville now has a sign posted Weight Limit 22 tons. What a joke. 50 semis a day cross that bridge. Most weigh 33k empty. What if 4 got on the bridge at one time? No one ever enforces this.
There is a reason for it, think about it. Bridges are getting in bad shape all over the country, eventually a truck will likely break it and with that sign, guess who gets to replace it. lol My cousin fell through a bridge going around the wyoming scales on a dirt road in a doodle bug drilling rig years ago, yea buddy dawson geo got to build them a brand new one. lol
Hmmm, Weight Limit sign on page one states quite clearly that the max limit is 6 tons for a semi. Really? Most tractors without a trailer weigh over 8 tons. For those who don't know (Which seems to be the case in most of these incidents); 1 ton equals 2,000 pounds.
