Yeah those connector roads work sometimes. Other times I pass them up.
Some cities like Detroit love those connector lanes and you have to use them occassionally. Those "Mile" roads usually have them... Like the 9th Mile.

I don't know that Rand McNally has straightened out their software problem yet? It's bad.
Only ones I know who use and like Rand McNally. They have older ones. They refuse to update them. Because it will ruin it.
I find my Garmin GPS to be invaluable in large cities. You can be on a 7 lane freeway. Splitting off different directions on three others. It will show you a picture of what you are seeing. Give you the exact lane placement you should be in.RunningAces Thanks this. -
I don't use my GPS generally for direction, but to keep a cpunt down of the miles left for the day to reach my goals, I use Rand because it works hand in hand with the Atlas that I use, I also use Google Maps, Wase, and Hammer, remember they are tools, just like the tools in my roll-away in the garage. Its up to you to use the right tool for the job at hand.
And no GPS's don't lead anybody astray. First own your mistakes, first step in learning from them. Truckdrivers get lazy of planning there trips, they lead themselves astray. A hammer does not bend over the nail, and a GPS does not get a tractor trailer stuck in a mud pit in the middle of MO it takes a special kind of person to do these. Just like a tractor trailer running into a 4 wheeler, it was not the truck it was the drivers.Attached Files:
