What's a good grease tube to use for your fith wheel? Seems mine gets dry often with hooking and unhooking these tanks.

Would use the packets but I'd rather have something that works for a longer period of time rather then keep buying those.

I get it at the TA, those red grease tubes and put em in the grease gun. Just a few squirts between every couple drops and hooks and it's all good.

I get Molybdenum grease at Walmart for about $3 a tube. It sticks around and doesn't wear off as quick. I've tried other types and they rub off rather quickly. Moly lube lasts a lot longer.

I use the mobile blue stuff I don't know the name buy it by the case comes out to about 3 a tube. I used to take a full tube and just slap it down on the end and then hook to a trailer I could get that tube to usually last a week maybe 2 and at that time I was switching 10 trailers a night. so that's about 100 trailers that it'd work for. I swear by that mobile grease use it in everything. The other stuff that's really good but isn't cheap is lucas red and tacky. I've used that before as well it stuck well but for the extra cost wasn't worth it.

I buy the small tubs and keep a putty knife in the truck to spread the grease onto the 5th wheel with.

Grease about once a month and in between just a little 90 weight when it starts looking dry. My biggest issue is with the mechanical RGN the rollers really squeeze everything off the edges of the plate.

Some time ago...someone posted that they used Marine quality lubricant on their 5th wheel...said it lasted longer.
