My advice, be patient the first months ;)
Sometimes there will be not your favorite load and you will have a week with less miles.
When I'm out of sync, they try to get me moving, my main problem is to get back to the yard on a Thursday to reset my hrs. Worked pretty good for a while, but the last months I often was back on a Friday and I had to run on recap hrs, I don't like that. This trip I think I will not have enough hrs to be back on Thursday.

My trailer wasn't loaded this morning and fortunately I only had to wait about 1 hour. Scaled and was 360 lbs too heavy, not a problem with the APU exemption. Will have to enter Cali with a bit more than a half fuel tank to be legal. So I started my trip later and will be probably a bit late for my first appointment.

There are a few things I'm not happy with too
As I always said, it's not perfect here, but better than most companies.
Made 1415 miles in exactly 21 driving hrs, that's an average speed of 67.38 mph, not bad thru the Rockies on I-80 with 80000 lbs ;)
And my Volvo has only 425 HP

Do the wings on that tractor retract when you get down below 50 miles an hour? :D

We don't have wings, neither on the tractors nor on the trailers :D
It was just perfect the last two days, no delays and most of the CR England and SWIFT stayed on the right lane ;)
And downhill I go the speed limit

Sounds like they are a decent company, atleast so far.

I'm also an Omaha local who will be on the hunt very soon for a new job. I may look into them when the hunt gets serious.

Been a couple bumps and the short dispatcher thing bothers me a little but oh well .
But if that's the biggest problem it will be a lasting deal .
Shop people were helpful and friendly when I got in today .

The Kraut and Vic Firth Thank this.

Well after I got done in souix falls Monday morn they bounced me back to Omaha and was impressed they didn't camp me in souix falls and were ok with me going home for the night.
Tuesday afternoon I went to st Louis and unloaded and reloaded today back to Omaha to drop the load on the yard when I get there on Thursday .
Very happy they don't expect road drivers to waste they're time in Omaha loading and unloading
Be home tmw for a 34 and then head to ny Friday nite .
Last week was a little rough between me and dispatch and it's learning curve for both but I think they are getting it thru they're head I'm here to run the tri state area and back .
Have also noticed indirectly Brent seems very committed acquiring and keeping good drivers .
Also extremely impressed with the trailers as haven't pulled anything but a highly optioned great Dane yet ..just hope they don't hire low grade drivers that beat em up !

It's good to hear about a company that wants to take care of their drivers, can't say that about a lot of them.

The Kraut and bzinger Thank this.
