Was home as planned on Friday 04/28 and left again on Wednesday. We had a winter storm on Saturday and I was glad I made it home before. Wanted to run the bunk heater on Saturday (temperature dropped to 23F in the night) to prevent my food in the truck from freezing, but the heater quit working
Got a load Wednesday to Wisconsin, but dropped the trailer on the yard and went to the shop. Our shop couldn't fix it, so a visit at Volvo was required. Wasted five hours of my life Friday morning at Volvo just to hear, they don't have the flame sensor in stock and they have to order it.
Will have to go back next time I'm in Omaha.
On the way now to L.A. for a Monday morning delivery.

You seem to run cali quite a bit. Years ago I drove for Days Express; i ran Indy to L.A. but sometimes I had to sit a day or so to get a load back. Do you have that problem with GO?

It's because of this that I went and dropped $375 on a GoPro Session 5 and a 64gb card. Been running it for a week now and like it... so... two more are in the works--one for each side of the truck. I like that they loop and can be controlled from a phone.

Be aware if you get one and want to run it 24/7, you need at least a 2.4 amp power brick or it won't keep up.

The Kraut, Shock Therapy and bzinger Thank this.

I like it to run to Cali, but not because I like Cali, I love it to run West. The only nightmare is Cali

Last two trips it worked pretty good, delivered and reloaded the same day, but before I was sitting a lot.
    1-1.5 days to reload.
Last year it was much better, almost every time I had a load back lined up.

Shock Therapy, bzinger and Vic Firth Thank this.

I hate it go to SoCal on I-15 on Sundays, traffic is backed up nearly every time before Primm NV.
Stopped before to save my hrs.

Dinner time, homemade Schnitzel (German style pork chops), Pasta, Peas and Carrots

Wow. You don't mess around when it comes to food out on the road. I feel pretty confident in saying I bet I'm not the only one who finds this picture more appetizing than a rolling hotdog at the Flying Hook. Good job

Will send the compliments to my wife, she's preparing the food at home, puts it in the freezer. With my hot plate it's hot in a few minutes.
My wife was with me in the truck for 4.5 years, she knows the pain to find good food on the road.

I have a freezer that's meanwhile about 20 years old, traveled with me in my trucks across Europe and North America and still works :)
