I passed an eastbound GO truck (Volvo) near Plymouth this afternoon, I thought maybe you got something for the east coast but then I remembered you drive a freightliner. I'm surprised you didn't get a load out of Chicago.

Yea the east coast gets old! I stopped for fuel at the Plymouth Loves and there were lots of Omaha and other Midwest reefers headed east, seems like there's more than normal.

I have a Verizon Prepaid phone and T-Mobile phone, usually I have the best signal with Verizon, but some areas T-Mobile works better. Have no signal with Verizon at home in New Mexico, that's the reason I got the T-Mobile with unlimited data. Have a good signal with T-Mobile in Iowa, but only for calls, internet wasn't working. T-Mobile uses other carriers all over the country, but internet is not working with all.

They could forget that I will be empty in L.A. on Monday and send me home empty

684 miles today in 10:13 driving time, 7 minutes left on my 70, tomorrow I'll have 9:12 available, if I have no delays i should make it to Primm NV, 543 miles to go.

Cheyenne got a lot of snow, but roads were clear, here's a picture a few miles West of Cheyenne I-80

I always had good luck with AT&T. When we did a lot of Salt Lake to Chicago it'd be sketchy in Wyoming but I seem to remember good coverage in Nebraska and Iowa. My teammate had Verizon and he wouldn't even turn his phone on til Cheyenne most of the time. And comin though Nebraska he would have had better luck sending smoke signals. A lot of cell carriers have a coverage map on their website, this is AT&T. Orange is great, yellow is good, and white is S.O.L. Hope this helps IMG_2558.jpg

I guess it's true what they say, "It's always the little things that make a difference". Like forgetting a driver in Chicago

Traffic was backed up again before Primm so I stopped early to save my hrs. It's 94 F outside and my APU/AC struggles with the heat.
Just preparing my dinner (in the afternoon) and then I will try to sleep. I hate it to sleep so early, but have to leave early to be in L.A. in the morning.

Talked to Brent and Bill two weeks ago, I will change my schedule, instead of 24 days out and being home on Friday I will stay out 28 days, a full 4 weeks and then I take a full week off. Leaving on a Wednesday and home on a Tuesday 4 weeks later. After my home time I make the first 4 week run, then I take 2 weeks off, need some vacation

Wow. In 1 picture posted earlier there's snow and now you're in the mid 90's. I'd say you earned your vacation. Although I can't help but wonder when the pictures will post of what kind of cuisine you are whipping up in the truck this evening. :)
I've been watching and following this thread a lot, it may have been mentioned already, but I didn't see it. Are you on a dedicated run between Omaha and LA every week? Where do you deliver to in LA and what are you dragging back if you don't mind my asking? As stated earlier I have orientation at Greater O June 7th so I'm just purely being nosey is all.

Nothing special for dinner, just a pork and beef roast with potatoes again ;)
Not having every day something different the dinners repeat. I'm glad my wife prepares a few different things,no need to have every day something new.
It's not dedicated, sometimes I run to Oakland two weeks in a row, this time L.A. 3 times in a row.
I like to run West, just seen on the Facebook page we got new runs to Oregon each week.
Time for me to go there, not only in winter

You come June 7, that's a Wednesday, you're sure? Usually orientation always started on a Monday.
Don't want to confuse you, just saying.

As our loads are most high value loads, I don't want to talk here about customers, hope you understand. We have lots of different customers in and around L.A.
