Greater omaha express ..thread 2.

Yeah, their not perfect, but they do try to work things out with the drivers.

 

Got my first load delievered with Greater Omaha. Left Friday about noon for New London WI. Kicked that off and was told ok to bounce to St. Louis so I could get my truck packed up and call Monday morning when I'm ready. Saturday got a call from dispatch asking if it'd be alright to repower a Nashville load Sunday night for a delivery Monday. Why yes, yes it is. So hanging out at the house this evening and gonna do some grocery shopping for the truck tomorrow and throw a few more things in there and off I go. So far so good truck has good power, is quiet and rides good. I will say booming up thru Wisconsin at dusk has totaled my windshield with bugs. If I didn't know better I'd think I hit a few pterodactyls on I-39

 

And the big ones aren't even out yet.

 

Nebraska beef is sure screwing up by the numbers today! Not sure whether they had mechanical problems ot what but, there are at least 4 of us still waiting on our loads, and was supposed to have been gone by 9 am. *sighs*

 

Yeah, it could have been a product line problem and or a shortage of product. It happened at GOP several times, just meant a slow day for the shag, and a long day for the OTR guys waiting to get loaded.

 

Looks like they are going to need a night shag driver over at GOP, last guy just quit after 3 weeks.

 

I lasted just over a year, but at 59 it took it's toll on me, most days not bad, but Thurs, Fri, and Sat you will earn your money.
